Rape is an emotional topic for people and I feel like the reason the topic gets nastier than it already is, is because people have the tendency to put themselves in the alleged victim and the accused rapist's place. I like to think most of us are decent so women are like if I accused someone it happened! and men are like If I got accused the woman is lying.

I think that's where things go wrong it's not always based on sexism, rape culture and doing something as seemingly innocuous as saying "we believe women" I feel is dangerous because of that.

I try to approach these topics with an open mind because in the majority of cases it's alleged date rape and not to trivialize but he said she said. I give both sides the benefit of doubt and pay attention to the accusations rather than who the alleged victim and perpetrator are, I'd never write off a victim's because they're flawed or because the alleged rapist has good public image. Just have an open mind.

if the person knew the consequences was going to result say 10 years of prison for false rape, then there would be a lot less claims and false imprisonment

i saw the one story where dude spent 15 years in prison for false rape and then the woman told the truth and all she got was the opportunity to apologize to the guy and no charges and the dude lost his parents, connections to other family members and freedom.... i don't care how much money he got from the state that can't replace time with mom and pops or wife and kids who moved on

Only thing I'll say on rape is I think as far as the so called rape culture on college campuses is concerned, I think folks are combating it incorrectly. Never thought I'd agree with Betsy Devos on anything, but I agree with her examining and potentially overhauling the way Title IX is administered on campuses. Obama pandering to white women is what lead up to that nonsense with kangaroo courts and the students running the insane asylum.

Truth be told, if alcohol abuse and the party culture which includes getting "white girl drunk" is mitigated effectively, I guarantee there'd be a 95% decrease in sexual assault allegations.

Man I've physically seen a dude making out and drinking with a chick the entire night of a party, hold hands with this broad and walk into a room and still catch a case. I really just have a hard time taking these womens word for shyt because women being liars and getting a man fukked up outta shame and guilt from her bad decision she don't want to be held accountable for is more believable to me than all these dudes out here taking p*ssy :scust:
