the hiring process is vigorous as hell and i dont doubt they lie on their resume but most jobs have actual problems that they give their applicants to solve, as well as expecting portfolios of what the applicant has done. its a tough process
capitalism is a race to the bottom, these corporations will never pay a person more than the bare minimum to satisfy what they need.
thats why theyre scared shytless, loss of h1-b means less supply of capable workers that the corporations can exploit
and instead of hiring within the USA, theyll just move to Asia or another country that has the h1-b program instead. These corporations do not care as long as they make maximum profit.
Yep and when shipping the jobs oversas folks forget about all the benefits to have an employee also go down. Medical, vacation and etc.
I worked at one company where we all started with 3 weeks vacation. Went to mexico to check on one of the facilities. Spoke to a few engineers and IT folks. Them kats talking about they only get 5 days vacation. That is all that they are required by mexican law. After their first year they get a extra day of vacation (extra day of vacation each year they work).
Man these companies making money hand over fist when shipping gigs overseas.
