A 2013 study by the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities was among the first to highlight the disparity and found that 61 percent of Black land-grant institutions did not receive 100 percent of the matching funds from their states from 2010 to 2012. During that period, Florida gave FAMU only 42 percent of the money it was entitled to, according to the study.
A more recent accounting in Forbes magazineof the chronic underfunding of public HBCUs said FAMU has been shortchanged some $1.9 billion by the state of Florida since 1987, adjusted for inflation. The report used federal data to compare per-pupil state funding of the traditionally White land-grant schools with that of HBCUs, which it concluded had been collectively underfunded by at least $12.8 billion.

Separate and never equal. Why i always felt reparations should come in the form of tax exemptions, because our tax dollars always seem to fund white peoples shyt but never our own. Rich cacs pride themselves on dodging taxes and yet, their neighborhoods never seem to have abundant pot holes, always have the cleanest parks and drinkable water. etc,

It is, but at least it might make some politicians make some promises and follow through a little biti hope they win but its gonna be an uphill battle...

They contribute, but that’s to help draw better teachers, repairs, funds to help day to day operations, etc
