Famu wont catch up over night, but getting multiple millions over several years will help them catch up to a reasonable baseline, famu will never be the big 3 of Florida, but they can be a comparable choice, they also need to take the funds they win and be smart, but the killer part, that money probably has to feed so many deficits, this will take multiple millions to just be above water bruh so yes this is important @Ethnic Vagina Finder

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:

1. Miami is a private school
2. Miami has an endowment of $1.3 billion compared of $95 million FAMU has.

So you’re comparing stealing from Amazon as opposed to stealing from a mom and pop store. Which one is going to feel it more? Who is going to be hurt by the theft more? FAMU has zero margin for error.

Someone steals from Miami, they not tripping because they can make that back in one year. Someone steals from FAMU, not only will it take longer for them to take it back, but the state will look at them screw face because in their mind, tax payer money is being stolen, and with budgets already tight, in a Republican controlled state, theft is the excuse they need to withhold funds or decrease funding.

This is where I disagree. If you have that mentality, then it will never come to pass. Not trying is losing. FAMU and every other SWAC team can ascend. It will take time, but it has to be a collective effort. They really don’t have any excuses. The administrators at these institutions are use to the status quo. They probably don’t know how to change. The problem is decades of being conditioned to think and move a certain way. I keep going back to athletics because that’s how these white schools make money. At one point HBCU’s had most of the pro talent. Integration changed all of that, and white schools poached all of the great players to this day.

My thing is, why should HBCU’s have do depend on state money? Why can’t they all have billion dollar endowments? Why can’t they get the best athletes to attend their schools?

In Deion Sanders second year ad head coach, he proved anything is possible.

Likely will be thrown out of court, the judiciary is filled with MAGA trump judges

This lawsuit was filed by students, which says a lot. We’re they consulted by the administration?

It also doesn’t help that FAMU has the 6th highest endowment out of all the HBCU’s

  1. Howard University, $712,410,000
  2. Spelman College, $377,942,000
  3. Hampton University, $280,598,000
  4. Morehouse College, $157,081,000
  5. Meharry Medical College, $156,719,000
  6. Florida A&M University, $95,635,000
  7. North Carolina A&T State University, $73,809,000
  8. University of the Virgin Islands, $66,894,000
  9. Tennessee State University, $63,020,000
  10. Virginia State University, $56,149,000
The real question is why is Howard’s so high? Why does the state of Virginia have 2 schools in the top 10. I know Howard and Hampton are privately funded schools.

Separate and never equal. Why i always felt reparations should come in the form of tax exemptions, because our tax dollars always seem to fund white peoples shyt but never our own. Rich cacs pride themselves on dodging taxes and yet, their neighborhoods never seem to have abundant pot holes, always have the cleanest parks and drinkable water. etc,
Dawg there should be more than
tax exemption too. ( not opposes to it ether) This country owes black American people everything.

This seems like a lawsuit that should be coming from the school or Tallahassee city govt

This does not feel right
It ain’t right. I heard while back Grambling had same situations and other HBCUS get locked down then get bought out by cacs and they make it into another school.

Nah, FAM will never be top 3, let alone top 5 in Florida. Excluding The U which is private and most cats can't afford to attend, you still have: FIU, UCF, UF, FSU, and USF. Them other schools been climbing while FAMU and BCU (BCC) been falling off since the 70's and 80's.

All them schools have bigger athletic departments and get more exposure from TV/media than FAMU does.

The best athletes don't wanna go to HBCUs to play for losing programs (FAMU) or programs that won't get them national exposure like that.

If you wanna go to the league you'll prolly get more burn going to a PWI SEC school than FAM or Howard. :francis:

Inb4 folks that were never FLawda high school seniors applying to college tell me what's what. :mjlol:
