So you’re comparing stealing from Amazon as opposed to stealing from a mom and pop store. Which one is going to feel it more? Who is going to be hurt by the theft more? FAMU has zero margin for error.
Someone steals from Miami, they not tripping because they can make that back in one year. Someone steals from FAMU, not only will it take longer for them to take it back, but the state will look at them screw face because in their mind, tax payer money is being stolen, and with budgets already tight, in a Republican controlled state, theft is the excuse they need to withhold funds or decrease funding.

This is where I disagree. If you have that mentality, then it will never come to pass. Not trying is losing. FAMU and every other SWAC team can ascend. It will take time, but it has to be a collective effort. They really don’t have any excuses. The administrators at these institutions are use to the status quo. They probably don’t know how to change. The problem is decades of being conditioned to think and move a certain way. I keep going back to athletics because that’s how these white schools make money. At one point HBCU’s had most of the pro talent. Integration changed all of that, and white schools poached all of the great players to this day.
My thing is, why should HBCU’s have do depend on state money? Why can’t they all have billion dollar endowments? Why can’t they get the best athletes to attend their schools?

Nah, FAM will never be top 3, let alone top 5 in Florida. Excluding The U which is private and most cats can't afford to attend, you still have: FIU, UCF, UF, FSU, and USF. Them other schools been climbing while FAMU and BCU (BCC) been falling off since the 70's and 80's.
All them schools have bigger athletic departments and get more exposure from TV/media than FAMU does.
The best athletes don't wanna go to HBCUs to play for losing programs (FAMU) or programs that won't get them national exposure like that.
If you wanna go to the league you'll prolly get more burn going to a PWI SEC school than FAM or Howard.
