Got a brother down for a minute.
This business person stays pissing me off. We're trying to discuss a technical issue with another team and she's interjecting talmbout she's trying to understand. This doesn't concern you, sit back and let us handle it

My company is deciding to go from public to private now. I think it will help us reach our goals without being at the whims of Wallstreet.
The question for me is - will I get laid off. My management tends to reward me with over 100% bonuses and I have also gotten special stock grants due to my performance. I hope this doesn't change and they want to replace me with 4-5 people from India for the same price. My boss has been helping me get more visibility though which is good.
Final option is going to another company eventually. My mother works in technology also and urges me to go into management which would mean I should go back to school to complete my degree. A lot for me to think about.

I'm a year out from finishing my MBA. I just gotta hold on to this job until next summer and I'm free.
Maybe the mind numbing boringness is a blessing in disguise.
The freedom to work on your MBA is the blessing. School is hard enough without juggling time and work duties.

Got an email from Amazon about a minority owned pilot program, but you need a minority owned certification, and that require 2 years of tax returns, and I just got the LLC last year.

I have had to work entirely too hard the past 2 business days . I think I'm proving to myself that I'm good enough to take on a Senior Software Engineer role. Unfamiliar with the code and language but putting in the most work bugfixing. Bring me in when you need results.

Last week Maryland announced they would be ending the federal unemployment programs and week thousands of us didn't have a weekly certification available in the UI system, yesterday. MD Department of Labor talking about you need to reapply for benefits because they have been exhausted, but most of us have active account with plenty of balance left.
I honestly believe on the backend someone changed the end date to automatically generate certifications to 6/3 instead of 7/3. It's a shyt show! You can't get on the website or app because it's too much traffic and calling was impossible before this issue. Then people are sayings it's done purposefully to push people off the programs earlier than July, but I think we're just dealing with a dumbass who doesn't know the corresponding number that goes the month. I don't even have the energy to be mad about this. It's just frustrating when the state is saying is all of our fault

We also need to be willing to sit down and listen to one another and genuinely give a damn when they really need to talk. You can really brighten somebody's day by just being there for them, even for complete and total strangers.
