what's the market like for non degree brehs? Im trying to help a few brehs get out the warehouse into some better paying jobs.
Trade school might be a better fit. Every company going through an AI revolution right now, so the corporate rules getting rewritten even for folks with a degree

Agreed with PrnzHakeem, I'm in a role where you have to have a degree + market research background. But def unclear on the reality and market at large, AI is already a watershed - maybe SMBs have more flexibility with someone looking to learn.

Customer service/client type stuff may be an entry point to something else-all my companies required degrees for all the roles. Idk if they actually hire but PWC calls out that they don't require a degree.

It's sobering af how sudden and random my company lets people go - our main office admin was let go after 20 years, you be like huh?

A couple of people who were downsized last year still haven't found roles
My boy just got notice of his job is getting dissolved in 3 months.

I've been telling my girl how we're so much closer to being homeless than being comfortable and she's just understanding now what I mean.

I work an entry tech position and my boss is telling me it's people with PHDs applying for my same role. It's tough out here.

I'm pushing her to move into a role/Feild where there's gonna be "job security" but it's not easy.

16 months unemployed and counting :mjcry:

Today's one of those days where the anxiety's really getting to me. Trying to push through and do more applications though.

Exactly 17 months after I got laid off. I have received an offer same title and same comp as my last job!

finances are good, I'm thankful, but it hit me like a freight train that I've always lowkey hated doing IT infrastructure/Sysadmin work, and with my current company showing signs of decay due to new management, I suspect outright layoffs and attempts to drive people to quit are coming down the pike.
This is great time to pivot to something else tech adjacent. I'm sick of learning the insurmountable tech stacks , frameworks, POAMs, studying for a gang of certs,.
Fukk being the "all things IT related" guy, It aint a phase. I've been through every type of burnout there is and this is it for me. I have enough broad experience to pivot into other specialized areas.

My priorities at his point is to shift from WFH stateside to being 100% digital nomad on my expat shyt going forward. I need a change of scenery and new experiences while still making decent money and i'm getting closer to that goal. Not for vanity, but for sanity.

I’m in a slow burn/rebuild year after switching portfolios/sectors so I don't know where I'll land for my $1.1M target. I’ve built relationships with our Public Affairs where it's a strategic goal for my unit but they're longer, slower opportunities and rounds (have to be invited to the next round of bidding) that ultimately may yield worth between maybe $1.5-$3M total (over a couple of years).

On a positive note did a client visit last week in NY, they like us and I like our internal team, so hoping to substantially grow this account. Unfortunately I have to make some staffing adjustments so we will see but it's the right decision.
