Shedeur's talking is arguably a big reason why he fell. It's not about being grateful or anything like that. You can hire "the right people" but if you're gonna ask them to do it with significantly less talent, eventually they will fail too.
Just relating this to Sanders (not sure why I should; he fell to the 5th round): There's only a handful of well adjusted teams in this league that are conducive to the success of anyone, let alone a QB. Why didn't any of them want him? Because like most teams nowadays, when they reach that point, they'll be bad enough to draft high and get one when they need one, but once you're up there, you must have fukked up royally to be there, so get used to really good QB talent going to a bad situation. The Pat Mahomes journey is idyllic now.
