He can appeal the bail next week, as soon as his attorneys draft a motion for a bail package. The judge can accept or deny. If he's already cooperating, they may keep him until he pleads guilty. If this is still a "straight up" case, he will keep filing motions for bail.

Witnesses can die, memories fade etc etc .
The more time passes the better the chance to beat
