Was he considered royalty in his country due to being a direct descendent of Prophet Mohammed? Was he well off? Rich even?

It seemed like he was more "prestigious" rather than royalty. Like his ancestry meant folk would treat him with deference and listen to what he had to say, but he didn't walk around giving people orders.

He didn't move like someone I'd expect to be rich, he wasn't spoiled or shyt (didn't seem to mind sharing the flat with me or the other speakers), but since he and his wife both had PhD's I assumed he was from the well-off sector of their society.

I met him in a different country though, I've never been to Qatar outside of changing planes. So I don't know how he's treated there, I only have my impressions to go on. It was pretty clear though that being the descendent of Mohammed was a big part of why he was a keynote speaker at the conference.

I'd be interested to know how many direct descendants of Mohammed there are. After 40-something generations there should be a ton. I think they only count patrilineal descendants of Fatima or something like that though, so that would significantly reduce the numbers.

I'll never forget you trying to convince brehs in that Fed Ex mass shooting thread, that we'd be safer living in Qatar than living in America :mjlol: I remember I clowned you, and clowned some other breh who said we'd be safer living in Afghanistan :mjlol:

But since then how's the Qatar life been treating you :patrice: anything crazy happening with the World Cup right around the corner?

Allen, Texas now?

I get tired just hearing about the shootings

I lived in Qatar for two years, from 2020-22. Country is much safer, diverse, and forward thinking than the USA.

It's not perfect, but there's nothing in the USA that rivals the Pearl.

I'm pretty sure Doha is gonna wind up as one of those smart cities those of us in the know hear about.

Lusail is nice and blowing up now. it might be considered a smart city now. Downtown Msherib as well.

I got a female friend that lives in Qatar.

Probably the best time to visit because it can get extremely hot in the summer.

I miss that shorty, I wonder what she up to now :mjcry:

Breh lay up at night listening to Nas ft Lauryn Hill "It wasn't you"

Companions, commitments, relationships
They can be so nice in days picnics, advance slow nights :blessed:
You start to miss it all when you got no wife
Seeing couples, walking, holding each others hands, talking :mjcry:
Like everything around them don't exist
And yo they stop before crossing the street so they can kiss :to:
That remind me, my love for this 'lil mami
A slim body from Saudi Arabia probably :ahh:
We met five day into her stay, a thirty day visit
Her second time in the USA
But my first time to gaze at her :whoo:
And wave at her was at KNICKS game
Islamic name hard to spit game
My thug look made nervous, her Secret Service :birdman:
The floor seats next to Spike Lee, I had to purchase :ohhh:
Later we met on Tavern on the Green and after we dined
I said "I got to have you just one time", she said :noah:

I’d beg to differ that it’s not expensive to live here then again finances are subjective.

Regarding rent writing post dated checks for the duration of your lease is standard practice for most properties. However in my situation my employer my rent in two annual payments at the start of the lease an halfway mark.

If you use your cellphone you’re typically okay but as soon as you pull out a DSLR they consider it at “professional photography”. They got me at Katara a few years ago asking if I had a permit

But yeah the top flight security be on it 😂

Breh i had a FILM camera and they were not having it at all . Like how that work i can use my phone but not some funky ass film :beli: I even showed the man and it still was a no. That permit is some bs cuz you have to have one for each location you are at not just an all around one to take pictures wherever you want:snoop:

Abu dhabi was better ,they didnt give a damn

Serious question, can I have side-pieces and FWB as long as I'm discreet about it? Also, would I need to claim "Muslim" in order to be more of an option for the women?

Qatar is not the place for all that goofy shyt. Go to bahrain.
