After so many tried, the only one that was able to kill Hulkamania... was the Hulkster himself.
Man..fukk that. First off, there's one man you should look up to as a father figure and if he isn't there, I'm sure there's an uncle or grandfather or someone you physically know who can be that to you. My dad wasn't always around when I was a kid but I had my uncle and my grandfather and for real, my mom, who handled both jobs when needed.
2ndly, these cats are human beings just like all of us meaning they are liable to fukk up, just like all of us. Don't idolize any man on this planet because you're bound to be disappointed. Hulk Hogan is a fictional character, just like batman or spider man, difference is, batman and spider-man will never let you down because they aren't played by real life people behind the masks (outside of movies)
But on the other hand, I can't relate to him because I've never idolized any of these guys. I loved Hogan as a kid too, just like other athletes and entertainers but I never idolized any of them or looked up to them like they were role models for me. Moms was my role model, I'm good with the other shyt

All I know is this heel turn $hits on the '96 Bash At The Beach swerve. 
I can't speak for @Slystallion but i agree it's hard to see you're hero's growing up fall.
My 3 favorite sports figures as a kid were Jordan, Hogan & Barkley.
It's hard to find a thread around here now about any of these 3 without them getting shyt on.

Hogan dosen't want his daughter dating nikkas (rappers)
Barkley is on the c00n train because he constantly shyt on inner city issues / hip hop culture on TNT during halftime.
