Imagine how many legendary fights we’d miss if we never ran anything back.

I’m not turning down a rematch with the best of the best esp at a bigger weight.

It’s not about that. This was a night of history and the way the fight played out it makes a rematch much smaller….financially, especially for Spence who took the worst beating and physically could be damaged. Why fight a fight where you may be at a worse point physically and risk taking unnecessary punishment for maybe much less than you got the for the first fight?

i think there's a couple paths forward that incentivizes a rematch. if they want to make it as big or bigger than the first one, then i think they could prioritize some round-robin matchmaking that allows both bud and errol to shine before locking up again.

  • bud vs spence in december
  • charlo vs tszyu in q1, 2024
  • winners fight for undisputed at 154 (wbo holder at 147 automatically becomes the 154 mandatory if they move up in weight)
• option 2
  • bud vs tszyu
  • spence vs thurman (154)
  • winner of bud vs tszyu gets charlo, and spence gets that winner
• option 3
  • bud vs boots
  • spence vs thurman/ortiz (147)
  • winners face off for undisputed at 147

Does anybody here think Errol is stronger than Bud? I hear/see that a lot out there and it's crazy to me. Errol is probably more POWERFUL (punching power) but Bud is arguably the strongest man at 147. Seen breh picking up 6'6" 300 pound brehs like it's nothing. Plus his wrestling background. And he was pushing Shawn Porter off him like a ragdoll

I wonder if it's any financial specifics outlined for the rematch
Usually it's a split that benefits the winner of the first fight pre-defined but I wonder if it's anything around guarantees. I don't see that many people spending $85 for Crawford vs Spence II. So if PBC has to put up a lot of money for the rematch maybe they would be incentivized (even more) to steer Spence in another direction
