I was looking at the demographics history, and it really hasn't changed much over the past four decades. I just left Brooklyn a couple weeks ago, and it didn't seem anything like what people make it out to be. That's why I asked which neighborhoods is this happening.

Brooklyn has seen an influx of young whites and has now exhorbiant prices BUT people forget whites were ALWAYS the majority in BK or at least plurality . Lots of native AAs that left New York are replaced by Caribbean or African folks

the thing I dont get is that whites move in and drive up the price to weed out blacks, then flip around and complain about the high cost of living. YOU made the cost of living high. They will basically always tail black people for lower costs but then raise it to get us out, then bytch about the high cost, then tail us again, repeat. In south florida nearly every white neighborhood, except trailer parks, is extremely expensive. Its a great way to keep out minorities but then they whine about the price and try to move near blacks and hispanics. Word goes out that such and such area is cheap and next thing you know cacs are flooding in. You cant have your cake and eat it too. Brooklyn used to be cheap compared to manhattan but these cacs are driving up the prices in neighborhoods.

Exactly. The only Cac places are the places that was always Cacs

Like Sheapshed Bay, Bay Ridge, Jew area of Crown Heights, Park Slope, DUMBO. The only new Cac places are Williamsburg and some parts of Bed Stuy. There's still Black people in Bed Stuy anyway

I'm the 80's and 90's crack tearing through the hood. Murder rate crazy. Politicians happy for it to happen in the hood. Its filthy it's disgusting. Nobody wants to live there. People that can do better move out. They house prices don't increase, they can't sell it or rent it. Cut their looses and dip or move to areas with faster growth. So the price is low.... very low and the remaining people can't buy it anyway. They that poor.

All by design. Miracously investment pours back in. Cacs cop and drive everybody else out.

The money comes with them. If nikkas bought the block - cacs would denigrate it. The block would become the trap and we lose. Every place in our history that has jobs an affordable housing we move there. They move out and take everything with them. It turns to shyt. We struggle. They come back. Kick us out. And we fukked.

Ownership IS important. I'm a homeowner. But if cacs decide to denigrate your hood - the land won't be worth anything. Detroit. We had to abandon that city. WATCH THEM BRING IT BACK.

Misleading information. Biggie grew up in Bedstuy. TS is posting near Atlantic ave where the Barclays center is. The new stadium of course is going to cause high volume and cost value in the property around it. Everything else in BK is still roughly the same.
