Can't deport the ppl who make these houses fast enough. :blessed:

Staff restroom at our job got built so fast and shoddily, they left a measuring cup and an exposed pipe there after the work was supposedly finished. Administration had to call them back to address the open pipe. The Hector they sent to fix it? Took a hammer and pounded it semi-close.

Another group of "hard workers" came around to set up our HVAC system. Told my supervisor they would get it done quickly but it wouldn't work after. Sure enough, system got installed, pipes were added, but the unit didn't work for another two weeks after that. Somebody at the top must've got tired of the oompa loompa's half assery, cuz it wasn't nothing but cacs that came in afterwards.

Now the AC working too damn good. Got the whole building in cryo. :mjlol:

Push black folks out of the construction business and you get what you pay for. :manny:

A lot of u never seen a real 2x4.

My dad bought and renovated our family home in the 90s. It's was built in the 40s/50s. We tore it down to nothing but its framing. Those studs looked like 4x6 support beam.

These modern homes are built like most modern cars, your going to have to do major work every few years.

word. the house we bought in GA was built in 1990. its had its fair share of issues but one thing i can say is that this house was built SOLID as god knows what. rock solid. the wood in modern times vs the wood back then seem to be different too man. like, its softer. when you go to lowes and home depot, they sell what they call WHITE WOOD. somethings telling me that is what they are using to build a lot of these homes. not just that, a lot of these builders are using MDF as well. its cheaper and you can paint it. cutting costs

New houses come with a warranty. They fix, for free, all problems you detect under the first 2 years.

I am suspicious of any realtor, especially these Social Media realtors that only want to show new construction homes. Most of them are preying on first-time homebuyers who are impressed by poorly installed granite couptertops and 10 ft ceilings and are willing to downplay issues with the builder in order to close multiple homes.

We are not losing much if those workers have to go back to their home country :mjpls:

I can’t tell you how many times I’d be at convenience store around noon to grab some things and you’ll always see Juan, Santiago and Jose in their construction clothes, each buying a case of Modelos with a sub sandwich.
