I did’t move on with the intention of someone liking me more lol I did it when I was being ignored. What was I supposed to do? Talk to someone that isn’t responding? Plan dates with someone that is ignoring me? Go sit at a restaurant and hope they show up? Lol or go out with the guy that’s actually interested? I'm not actually criticizing you for having this approach, you're right to cut off someone that is ignoring you. If only all men could be like this too and that is what this thread is about. Men don't look at me the way they used to. In general, they don't look at me at all. This is what happens when a woman turns 40 (50, 60 etc.). It's a fact of life.

In theory, this is supposed to be an exhilarating passage in the life of a woman. At last we're liberated from the tyranny of the male gaze! We don't have to care what men think of us any more. We're free to be our true, authentic self. We can wear a red hat.
