@Marc Spector what types of jobs should I tell Voc. rehab I am interested in? I want the best paying jobs I would be eligible for and that I could do good in. Since I have social anxiety that counts as a disability in order for me to be eligible to work with them.
anything tech. In particular something like Information Technology Technician, Network Administrator/Technician, basically anything with administrator in the title.

Also dont sleep on skill trades. Plumbers, Linemen, Aircraft Mechanics, Electricians, machinists, and HVAC technicians make very good livings and can move anywhere with that skillset. Also in the home construction fields you often time build up a solid network of friends/peers to help with home projects or house building so that in and of itself is a huge benefit.

@Marc Spector regarding the skilled trades wouldn't I need a two year degree or something? Would Voc. rehab be able to place me in that even without the educational requirements?

i dunno :yeshrug: talk to your voc rehab case manager or look at your states voc rehab website for a list of supported jobs . Most of those jobs dont require any previous educational attainment. And keep in mind that voc rehab and apprenticeships are usually two different programs so voc rehab may not provide financial aid for apprenticeships but apprenticeship programs are often free or subsidized by having a disability or a low income waiver.

Yeah that ain’t it at all. Folks in a rush to go to school to end up working the same data entry position they could of gotten without a college degree a few years ago. To me it seems as if degrees are becoming more over inflated than of actual use for most citizens.
Ding Ding!!! This is way to true, out of my staff of 7 people, 5 have degrees, the other 2 are college dropouts and they are running circles over 3 of the college degree holders...
I will take someone self motivated and smart over someone that is just book smart any day....

@Marc Spector thanks man! In your opinion the air force is a done deal for me? Since you are familiar with the Genesis program. I took antidepressants from August 2021 to September 2021. I read online you have to be off antidepressants for three years before you can even be considered for a waiver. Is that correct? That would take me to September 2024. I would be 38 years old at that point turning 39 years old in October 2024.

Also, I have and am still seeing a therapist for my social anxiety issues. As long as Iive at home I have to continue seeing a therapist because my mom wants me to.

Jokes aside. It is an issue yet these politicians well some don’t really care if Physical and Health Education classes in school vanish or they have shyt equipment or in some case small ass classes instead of a gym.
:manny: they doing this to themselves these are the classes where most of the budget should go as it’s shown in studies kids that are active physically fare better in school
Especially the ones that can’t stop moving and shyt they need somewhere to spend that energy if it ain’t in phys ed its going to be in class disrupting it like a moffuka

Even though it doesn't look good for me getting waivers I'm still going to try to get in.

Also I 'm working with the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency to help with me getting a full time job now since I only work part time.

Ah, you one of them old dog, can't learn/listen-ass nikkas. Got it. :unimpressed:

Honestly nobody on this board is gonna be able to tell you if getting waivers "looks good for you" or not, unless they're an AF enlisted accessions recruiter. Period.

It's so many categories: financial, security, drug use/criminal history, age, medical (physical and mental health), qualifications that can need or get waivers, and we don't know how fukked up you actually are. Just because other folks can get em doesn't mean you will. Different recruiters operate differently. Some might see you as hopeless and move on the the next dude, somebody might pity you or feel you deserve a shot.

Your best bet woulda been getting in shape ASAP and just sending it when you first mentioned joining or even a few months before you went to that Air Force office, but the recruiter kicked you back like the Mike Epps gif because he thought you were too :flabbynsick: .

Now accessions are even shyttier because of COVID and you've only gotten older and more :flabbynsick: .

STOP WORRYING ABOUT WHETHER NON-RECRUITERS ON THIS BOARD THINK YOU CAN GET IN.

You either will or you won't, and that'll prolly be the end of it. All these posts on here aren't getting you any closer.

You got time to be in JBO and TLR ass-threads, you could be using that same time to workout and research shyt. The AF doesn't spoon-feed you everything in life, some shyt you're gonna have to figure out yourself.

Still pretty sure you're just trolling at this point; it doesn't take that long to get in decent enough shape for them to send you to Basic Training if you're serious about joining.
:stopitslime:

Hell, we had muhfukkas that made it through that couldn't even make it through their 1WOT PT test without gassing out.

^Re-read that. We had motherfukkers graduate that couldn't even run a mile and half when they got there, so what's your hang-up? Waiting for medical doesn't make sense because you could have some other shyt pop up in the meantime. Getting in shape isn't it because it doesn't take that long to get in shape to go to basic (you're NOT going SR/CCT/PJ/TACP/EOD, so you don't need to be an American Sniper-ass nikka).
:camby:

Imma put you on ignore (that means leave you on read) until somebody @'s me with proof you got in. Tired of rehashing this same shyt with you year after year.

Good luck in life. :hubie:

Maybe these kids are just too smart to fight pointless wars...add that most are getting degrees and some type of certs making them difficult to turn into robots :yeshrug:

You mean MANY are going into five/six figure debt for piece of paper that shows that they were, in fact, “robots” being programmed for four years (or more). The majority of whom studied in worthless disciplines like literature and marketing, and are unable to pay the crippling debt that they signed for after graduation. Which, turns them from what you call robots into slaves who will work their entire lives to pay back the debt that they owe for that (essentially worthless) piece of paper.
:manny:

You summed it up well too.
