Do your 18yrs of service and you leave with free college for you or your offspring, free healthcare for life, a 0% homeloan(on a half paid off home due to bah-pay) , and a pension. And all At the ripe age of 38; while your civilian peers often must wait until their mid 60s to achieve the same thing.

I'm gonna assume you must not understand what "over representation" means

Black folks are generally listed around 14% of the total population. if the military is 20% black, we are overrepresented in the military by 6%.

In the short term at least. Black immigrants don't come over here in high enough numbers to develop their sub culture within black America. So their immigrant status is essentially erased in a single generation. Their kids, or at least their grandkids are gonna grow up seeing themselves more as African American, than Kenyan or whatever. They essentially have to assimilate into our culture, or date out with cacs until they are no longer perceived as black.
They not gonna find any middle class African communities in this country to maintain any insular beliefs that run contrary to ours over generations.
