SMH, I remember this new piece on him and showed his big ass motorcycle.

Sounds like he was on a regular bike and a fukking car hit him, how?

Dammit, this hits weird a bytch ass muhfukka with tinted windows almost ran me over in the parking lot of a grocery store two nights ago.

These idiots in cars.

Damn, don't even know what to wish. I wish him the best out of a shytty situation.

Too many terrible drivers on the road. I stick to riding on trails now.

Thanks for the post, and the update about him.

Did his coworkers think he was an ex football player?

A lot of them didnt know, but maybe assumed because of his size, but telling someone he was an NBA player was obviously something he didnt run around doing. Most people in Durham knows who he is or knew during his playing days but he was just such a regular guy that people just spoke of him in that way. those that went to school with him or close to him know him as "T-Top". coming out of HS he was nicknamed the "Durham Bull"

Rogers developed a nice outside and 3 point shot in his day. He and Larry Johnson both looked awkward, in the past, being diesel guys launching 3 pointers.
Guys of all positions, heights, and sizes shoot 3s now.

Again, thanks for the update about his spirits being up.

Shawn Bradley played for the Nets also, There's a bit of a bad luck cloud that follows the old NJ Nets players around.

Everywhere...You never there.
Honestly riding a bike on the road is dangerous I keep myself on the sidewalk at all times because something like this might happen

a number of (white) people on here will call you all types of “idiots” and “jerk offs” if you say you ride your bike on the sidewalk , but if there’s a (non-high foot traffic) sidewalk nearby, which is usually the case in the vast majority of America outside of the metropolises and downtowns, the sidewalk with few pedestrians walking is usually safest bet . Going on and off greenways and trials , I’ve ridden the sidewalks for most of my adult life.

these motorists usually don’t respect bikers being in the street . Viewed as a nuisance . Trust me ... I’ve seen the disrespect a lot when I’m out and about .

a lil different though as far as the cause. not sure of all the details about Bradley...but riding a bike and a 4-wheeler way different. Rodney hit a ditch he didnt see and went forward and broke his neck. he is truly a unique individual. he is from my area. SUPER FRUGAL with his money...and he made plenty. the average person wouldnt know he was rich. at the time of his accident he worked for City of Durham and probably didnt earn but about 40-50k per year. the dude just likes to work (and get medical benefits). talk about a normal fukkin guy. AFTER the accident is when his manager found out he was actually a millionaire, said he had no clue and he had worked there for 3 years.

dude has been in great spirits and still goes out and supports HS BB and Wake Forest BB, always a smile on his face. if you havent seen, check out his interview with Chris Webber. he was a tremendous player also...maybe wasnt used quite right. its funny but he was an elite athlete with his physical frame, kinda Bron like physically but more of a Zion type skill set....better shooter, more lean, elite athlete just not freakish like Zion. you could see him on the streets in the same neighborhoods.....doing positive shyt though. never been in trouble that I recall. but he would rather have people believe he was broke than not. I remember one time we were in video game store and he was haggling the owner over price. he used to shop at Gap where my wife worked and would load up on the coupons and deals for his girls. sorry for the long post but I could go on and on about him. someone like him is RARE to find. he definitely could have a movie or doc on him, what he lacks in story he more than makes up for in character.

Homie is a LEGEND at Hillside , in Durham and in N. Carolina in general.

This is my fear while riding my bicycle, so I ride in the opposite lane and vehicles always make room for me if they think they'll be too close by the time we pass each other. So far I haven't gotten a ticket but I don't care if I did cause a lot of drivers are reckless and i'm not gonna risk turning my back on them.

Always walk and bike on the road facing traffic

It’s wild because pedestrians on foot are encouraged to walk facing traffic but bikers can get ticketed for doing that . I get why but in reality , it doesn’t have to be that way if more cities incorporated ADEQUATE bike lanes . You can ride facing traffic in the bike lane if things were ideal .

Prayers up for Bradley

Breh was one of those "non-stars" I really liked back in the day. For some reason the way you're describing fits the image I had of him, always looked like a cool laid-back cat who kept it simple.

yes, but I have NEVER met anyone like this guy. if you met him on the street you would have no clue he had money. the only person I heard who may be somewhat like him in today's game is Kawhi. the only indication was the car he drives. speaking of which, Nate McMillian is a relative of mine through marriage. dude still drive an older Benz and be at Ruby Tuesday on $5 Tuesdays :mjlol:. he is frugal as shyt too. you wont ever hear of these guys going broke and I salute them for that. shout out to boxer Paul Williams, another inspiration for paraplegics.
