I don't give a shyt who's making the decisions, the team still had to be & has to be rebuilt.. :yeshrug:

They're in the midst of a rebuild, and one that was looking promising regardless of record. $50-60 mill in cap space, a nice amount of young talent, and a ton of draft picks this year. 2 good signings, a couple good trades, and proper player development and they were on their way to being a contender in a few seasons, if they change that whole trajectory and sign average players to max deals this summer they will lose this fanbase for a very long time. People can hate on Philly fans all they want, but we know our shyt and we were willing to deal with this horrible team in the hopes of building a great team one day, now with Colangelo running the show we just might end up with 2 or 3 average players being WAY overpaid, and a log jam at PF/C instead of trading one or two of them for a PG and a wing player.

Yeah, they fukking suck right now, but when they turn this around in a few years it will be because Hinkie took the hits for 3 seasons and then got shown the door

Disagree you have to make good decision while building a team they fired a coach that was working for example they make bad personnel decision etc etc like letting Isiah Thomas go etc.

Who fired a coach that was working?

Don't forget Saric, the best Euro prospect right now

And then if they do pan out Hinkie will get no credit and the narrative will be that Colangelo rebuilt the team

Well to be the devil's advocate here we were gonna have to stop tanking and build a team eventually :francis: I was always saying Hinkie wouldn't be here to see the process thru but he set us up with all these draft picks and assets for the future:yeshrug:

All we can hope for is that they don't fukk it up (they will) :mjcry:

Hahah I'm just holding out hope that between Colangelo's Team USA connects, Brett Brown and Mike D'Antoni, and all the cap space for 2 or 3 max players to come and build a dream team that we can somehow still pull this off. Durant's old strength coach has me somewhat delusionally hoping KD signs here too.

Philly media knew this was going to happen though I heard part of the stipulation to get him to philly was that practice facility for his USA team.

:heh: This is hilarious.

He has Embiid, Saric, Okafor, and Noel on one team. He should've been fired last year.

I'm not mad at that though, stockpiling young big men with all-star potential is never a bad idea especially when there was no one better available in any of those draft positions, and Saric is more of a point forward so he doesn't create any more of a log jam.

Everybody shytting on Hinkie, while Bryan Colangelo is being handed the job by his daddy

Lets be real, this isnt Hinkie stepping down, hes being pushed out the door by the Colangelo's

76ers kinda gutless for not letting him have one more offseason IMO
Yup they hired colangelo to baby sit him that's just ridiculous . I can't even say the process failed he's just had bad luck. If embiid was healthy we'd be talking about how Hinkie was a genius

Which is why Jerry wanted his son to get the job now. He's got all the cap in the world, all the prospects in the world, and everything he could ever want in Philly. All he needs to do is get a playoff spot soon and people act like he did something amazing and the credit will belong to him.

Not to say he'll have any of this workout for him. Teams better start calling for Embiid because this is their best chance to get him.

That's not necessarily a bad thing though, it's going to be the biggest and nicest practice facility in the NBA that alone could help recruit some players to Philly.

Stay strong breh.

Being a Timberwolves fan I have seen some dark days. From 2009-2012 I used to get calls from some Wolves employee offering free tickets to games just to put people in seats :mjlol:

But now that my Lord and savior Karl Towns has arrived I have been reborn :blessed:

If the Sixers get the 1st and 4th or 5th pick this year, with their insane amount of cap space, and the young talent they already have they really can't fukk it up barring serious injuries to multiple players.
