Damn. Tanking for years, clearing cap space, getting top assets, and now it's over before he can reap any of the benefits. Okafor, Noel, Embiid, Saric, the Laker pick, and possibly Ingram/Simmons. So much you can do with those assets. The new GM is basically going to be playing in easy mode. All the benefits of tanking without going through the years of pain.
those picks are pointless if your franchise has no stability they not getting simmons cause the league is making sure he is going to go to la probably one of those picks will work out and embiid will probably never be healthy and even if he does become healthy there three most promising players all play the same position so I would call that no progress.

ThisThey were awful for three years.
Somehow this guy is getting more hate than organizations like the Kings/Wolves/etc that were awful for a decade plus.
If they do get the first overall pick this year and Embiid back next year and everything starts going their way no one is going to remember that it was because of his process.
Atleast the wolves got a rebuild by trading love snd getting wiggins towns and lavine and bringing back kg for influence
