Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
When we made that deal, no one thought Nash would fall apart. No one thought Kobe would tear his achilles. At the time, I thought we got a great deal. Nash was just coming off a year where he still put up great numbers and all we gave up were draft picks that most likely woulda been late 1s. Who thought the Lakers would have the worst record in the West this year? considering that they had Dwight, Kobe, Nash, and Pau last year?

The Lakers don't need a superstar in this draft. Unlike small market teams that can really only become contenders by hitting home runs in the draft, we can build through free agency as well. LA will always be a prime destination and the Lakers brand will always be strong. We'll be in good position to get Melo this summer, Love next summer (though I personally don't want him), and then Kobe comes off the books in 2016 (around the time Durant becomes a free agent).

No matter what the Lakers will ALWAYS have a bright future. And our $3 billion TV deal means we can afford to continually pay the luxury tax to keep our roster together unlike small market teams like OKC.

Melo, Love and Durant are all going to the Lakers?

And you have the audacity to say the Sixers are being run like a video game :russ:

Okay Clown let me see trade Turner and Hawes to the Cavs for Waiters, Zeller and Gee. You get Waiter who has talent and wants to be in Philly an Zeller who still has potential but Cleveland wasn't using him right. Gee hasn't been doing shyt but his contract offsets some of Turners salary to make the trade work.

do it the way everyone else does. build the best team you can each year. compete. and realize this is tough and requires luck.

you can't come into a sport that has been around for over 60 years and think you can figure out in one season what many other smart people haven't figured out in that time.

there is no quick fix to turning a bottom feeder like Philly into a contender overnight.

Really breh do it the right way lmfao

Rebuilding through free agency has worked for only 1 team in the last 10 years, just 1.

Capspace is only good for rounding out your roster, not outright rebuilding :smh:

it worked for LA when they got Shaq. :yeshrug:

and we haven't had cap space since then. and I don't think you can say that considering the marquee franchise in the NBA has never really had much to spend in free agency till now.

if we have max money cap space the next 3 summers, you best believe we'll be getting big time players.

He's worth more than any 2nd round draft pick you were gonna select anyways and plus he can be a decent 15ppg 6th man. All I'm saying is the draft is a casino that you don't wanna put all your chips in.

Man he a sixth man at best. You dudes don't know basketball man. Y'all just throwing names out of the fukking hat

Pure comedy, it didn't seem to work for Dwight :mjpls:

So, the Sixers are doing it all wrong, but the Lakers will land Exum or Embiid this summer, despite the odds and then get Love, Melo and Durant by 2016, gotcha.

PG Michael Carter-Williams
SG Andrew Wiggins
SF Thaddeus Young
PF/C Nerlens Noel
PF/C Arnett Moultrie or another Top 2014 Rookie Bigman

Seems fine to me, they will be getting a top pick in 2015 as well, and tons of rookie 2nd rounders to throw against the wall. We will also have a ton of cap room to pick up any free agents that Hinkie chooses.

Stop hating and get off Philly dikk, dood.

Maybe I wasn't specific enough. He's an OVERWEIGHT bum who thinks he's a star. If I could move his family to another NBA city so I don't have to hear this nonsense about him wanting to "come home" I would. None of us want him here. He's not an answer, he's just another problem.

:what: we're the Lakers

the name alone means we'll have a better future

we've played in nearly HALF of all the NBA finals there have ever been. just think about that. the NBA has been going for over 60 years and about 30 of em have featured the Lakers.

men lie, women lie, numbers don't.

Is that right so why did Howard leave???? Let me guess y'all getting Love Paul and Durant breh. This is not the 90s and early 00s nobody gives a Shyt about Lakers. These stars going all over now.

NONE OF US ARE ASKING FOR A QUICK FIX. FIND A POST IN THIS WHOLE fukkING FORUM WHERE ONE OF US ARE ASKING FOR A CONTENDER NEXT SEASON.
trading everyone on the roster for draft picks is a quick fix that isn't gonna turn out the way you hoped it would just letting you know ahead of time. So when you get the 3rd pick and Embiid and Parker are off the board and you get stuck with Wiggins and he turns out to be a average player and you guys win 20 games for the next 5 years well all be laughing at you. Bu bu bu it cant happen to us Hinkie even said so.

Not only do they have high draft picks, they're gonna have an obscene amount of capspace. Over $30 million for the next couple years. That not only gives them the opportunity to sign people but also the ability to absorb big contracts in trades. That's on top of their top 3 pick this year, their Pelicans pick this year, Noel coming back, and a likely top 5 pick next year. They know what they're doing.

like I thought. ignore the second part of my post where I say half of the finals in the 60 year history of the NBA have featured the Lakers.

there are 3 guarantees in life: death, taxes, and the Lakers being contenders.

So you telling us to build through draft when lakers besides the 80s never drafted their superstars. Y'all didn't draft Kobe or Shaquille. Y'all drafted Kareem Rush, Marc Blounts n Shyt.

We will have enough cap room to compete (at least monetarily) for LeBron.

I admire the Lakers for picking up KMarsh and Marshon but really, fukk the Lakers. They are getting their city taken away by the Clippers in 2014. That is all that needs to be said if they are trying to look down their noses at Philly. EARLY!
