Bron signed with Miami not only cause he could form the big 3 but because it has one of the hottest night scenes in the country, has beautiful weather, and MOST IMPORTANTLY no state taxes. Same reason Dwight felt he could walk away from the money the Lakers offered for less in Houston. He knew he'd make it up in terms of taxes he didn't have to pay.

Weather, night scene, and no state taxes are much bigger deals to these players than who they play with (given that the salaries are equivalent).

Noel is an athletic hustle and energy big who is a defensive centerpiece, his floor in my opinion is at the very least a Deandre Jordan or Tyson Chandler


His ceiling is probably a more athletic Joakim Noah

He's going to disappoint you if that's what you think his ceiling is.

He doesn't have the frame to be a Chandler or DeAndre.

Noah was a great passer even in college. Noel doesn't have that skill.


I love his one on one defensive skills. He's going to be great in pick and roll defense and weak side defense because he has great lateral movement and elite timing.

I still think he's going to get killed in the post both defensively and offensively. Most of his points will come off of lobs or put backs.

I hate Calipari because he does not seem to actually develop big men...they either come in ready (AD, DeMarcus) or have to do a ton of work on their game after they leave (Willie and Nerlens).

I'd lower my expectations if I were a Sixers fan. It's going to take at least 4-5 years for him to be at least league average on offense.

The twin towers intrigues me too nikkas would cease to exist in the paint if they come in there with Noel and Embiid


But we need that dominant wing scorer so badly so Parker and Wiggins are my first choices.


And as for the SG's with the second pick, My choice would be LaVine. He is the highest risk in the draft but he also has the highest reward and ceiling. It's tantalizing what could become of him, MCW, Wiggins/Parker, Thad and Noel.

I almost want to see them set up with twin towers Nerlens and Embiid and go from there with MCW at point of course. Embiid is no Greg Oden.


We would still need a scorer though , hopefully we get a MCW caliber player with the Pelicans pick.
