Birmingham is no New Orleans but they're doing the same thing here. Downtown they got 800-900k condos and old ass houses going for 4-5-600k for houses that went for 100k maybe 150k at the most a few years ago.

no one’s saying bring back the jects but why would you gut and build out a 7k a month house in an area that is not that, why would you feel comfortable bringing 7k to a lower income area displacing the essence of New Orleans

I was about to say, that’s basically the Eastcoast including the northeast. I wouldn’t pay 7k a month to live anywhere out here on the Eastcoast neither. Humid, bugs, and then cold as hell and miserable in the winter. I couldn’t imagine NO being any worse.
