So is the automatic rematch clause not a thing in AEW? Past three champs just moved on unless I’m forgetting something. Does WWE even still do it? Kinda dumb when you think about it.

No. They don't do immediate rematches. Besides, most AEW Champions have long reigns anyway.
I don't think AEW ever did an automatic rematch
