The first B/C set in Little Rock was Highland Court Bloods in 1982, this is almost impossible to confirm but I think HCB might be the first B/C gang ever started outside Cali. There wasn't no Crips until '86 or so when Long Beach/Compton cats came through and started spreading Crip influence. HCB didn't Blood out the city, they were there but the mid-80s saw a lot of those Chicago gangs slide down, and some cats say the Chi gangs were there in the 70s, but for sure they were there before any Crips hit LR....
The Long Beach/Compton nikkas started one gang in Little Rock. The Crip hoods that originated afterwards were all spawned by OGC and LR cats. About the only credit you can give LB/Cpt cats in LR is yes, they came through LR and heightened the gang warfare that was already there to an unprecedented level. LR had gangs and hoods but wasn't a really dangerous place, more gangs hit throughout the 80s and it does seem like Crips came through and really kicked that shyt up another notch. LR didn't have wild gang violnce like that beforehand...

So for sure, Cali Crips influenced LR banging. But for the most part, those were LR nikkas doing the dirty work, as far as I know there was never an instance of Cali cats going to war in LR with each other. And LR was almost equally Cali and Chi influenced. My stepdad, born in '65, spent his first 23 years in LR and his dad (non gang affiliated) was from Chicago. He grew up on 14th St right down the block from Highland Court, he not affiliated with anything. There's alota LR people with alota Chi ties...
My mom was born in LR in '66 and spent her upbringing between there, Michigan, and Houston before moving to Sacramento when she was 15 (81/82). She got on with OPB in Sac and when she grew up in Houston and LR there was no Bloods and Crips, she never saw that shyt til she went to Sac, but she moved back to LR after high school and there were gangs all over the place in the late 80s, so I also got these stories from her. She is from a Crip area in LR (Sweet Home/College Station), but again that area wasn't a bad area or gang affiliated when she was young. She moved to Oak Park at 15 and there were already Bloods there and she got on when she was 17...
So hearing these stories on how she went back to LR at 19/20/21 and there were all these Bloods, Crips, Chi gangs, is crazy...
I have a brother from 29 South Side Piru, I have a cousin from 28 South Side Piru, another cousin from Eastside 21st Blood Stone Villains, a cousin from the GDs out in Southwest, I've politicked with a number of cats in The Rock, particular on the South End/South Little Rock---->Fairgrounds, Broadway, Roosevelt, Daisy Bates, Highland Court, etc...
It wouldn't be accurate to say LA nikkas turned out LR, only that LA Crips kicked up the level of violence in LR. None of this is information you could get from Bangin In Little Rock, which had some accurate portrayals but wasn't a full depiction or history, and none of this is information you could find just browsing the internet about Little Rock before I put it out here...
