80 of the 100 members of the U.S. Senate are men. The percentage is about the same in the House. I believe 90% of governors are male. Wikipedia has the numbers.

The politicians could bring more attention to these issues and the editors,ceo's and owners of media powerhouses whether tv, magazine or news could bring alot more attention and have huge influence

Most men either can't or refuse to seek help (therapy, for example) because of the social stigma of not being able to "man the fukk up" and deal with it. And normally when men do it, they're at the end of their rope mentally and lose all hope.

Another reason is that men choose more violent and "more effective" methods for suicide; like a gun to the head or jumping off a bridge.
Females attempt more times, but tend to use more passive methods, like swallowing pills or slitting their wrists.

I think the difference between men and women boils down to children. Most women are all their children have family wise, so the idea of committing suicide and leaving said children as orphans is out of the question.

If there was instant button I could've pressed back when I was coming out of college years ago, I probably would've committed that.

It's when I learned the most about people, how people will lie to you and use you and throw you out, and whatever you're going through, nobody, and I mean NOBODY, cares about you, and even still some people will make it a mission to rub it in your face that they can one up you, and even the people you call to talk about it are only doing it becuse they're getting a check.

They wouldn't even give a fukk about you if somebody wasnt paying them to.

I still think about killing myself sometimes and Im doing great in life according to most standards, but I know and see so much horrible shyt going on out here it's tough to even deal with it. If it wasnt for my siblings having to sufferthrough funeralizing me I probably would've done it by now.

Also if I did it, then the people who were rooting for me to off myself would win, so I stick around for that too.

Not to sound sexist but men do run everything. You could be in Kenya, Iran, Canada etc men control women.

"Men" don't control a thing. The biggest misconception is; "men' are some big brigade organized to control women.

The power is with the rich. If anything; it's because so many unrealistic expectation s on western men. Plus, as you said, mental health signed and not "being s man."
