80's vs 90's which era better music in rap

yea, i took that into consideration, but man...i feel like these got washed out due to how damn bad the rest of the music got and how greatly it was rewarded...swag surfing, soulja boy, laffy taffy, white t's, pop lock and drop it...nooooooooooo i mean i even fukk with lil jon but looking back some of that stuff from his run is cringeworthy

00's had higher highs, but the 10's on average feel a lot better to me

Why is this even a thread? It's the 90s and its not even close. Better music, style, slang, culture, just about everything came in the 90s. There's a reason its known as the golden era

I definitely agree. If you took the best 10 albums/mixtapes from 2000-2007, and the best 10 albums from 2010-2017, the 2000-2007 would win no contest.

I remember it well, in the 90's they was calling 87 - 89 the Golden Era
