Without the focus of having the two best in the company aimed at each other and everything being based around that - Dynamite's have really just been banking on good wrestling the last few weeks.
The thing modern wrestling bookers have been really bad with, and we've seen this with Gedo, Triple H, and TK several times, is transitioning to the next story. I think the algorithmic age has really made getting every last piece of meat on the bone a thing, but there have been so few genuine flashpoints.
It also makes characters look stupid. When there is an opportunity and there's all this big bad people around who are not capitalizing on them, it makes them look weak.
The best thing to do with a new face champ is to have a bunch of heels who don't deserve it tryna steal it every week.
Obviously something big is coming with the DR storyline, but Hangman should be in a hot lil pocket story with someone like Rush right now.
