lol @ the fight being that close despite 3 knockdowns.

That's exactly why this fight was so hard to predict. Luis Ortiz is clearly the better boxer, but he's just old as shyt. If he wasn't so old, I would have confidently picked him to win this fight.

You’re right
If Ortiz was 10+ years younger
This fight would be different
Ruiz couldn’t KO a 45 year old Ortiz :wow:
Ortiz lasted all 12 rounds

If he can make it to the fight in shape he has a chance. He can take a punch and is a better boxer. He comes in fat Wilder will win against him easy. Probably knock him out based on him not having the stamina needed to counter and avoid Wilder’s punches consistently

Is he really a better boxer than Wilder?

The "in-shape Ruiz" is kind of like the "focused Broner", it exists in theory but never in practice

He can take a punch but not those right hands from Wilder, they would land sooner rather than later imo, Ruiz isn't good enough defensively to stay out of harms way whatever how less he tries to exchange

Ortiz, the supposed boogeyman, has had multiple opportunities to secure big, career-defining wins but has failed to do so. Mental lapses, maybe just overhyped. Idk. Good solid fighter but nothing like people perceived.
He's like 50 breh :mjlol:
It was well known he was washed coming into this

Ruiz isn't good at all. His defense is garbage eating clean punches like that over and over. Once that chin goes he will be easy money for any decent HW

I think Wilder is a ok Boxer, not the most technical, but his knockout ability is top tier. He might be the best knockout boxer right now. To the point he hunts for a Knockout to much.

Ortiz is technically sound, fights within his skillset, can take a punch. He just fat as hell and you can see it because he takes parts of rounds or whole rounds off. If he was in better shape he would be a lot more dangerous.
