It's the same as when folks were chanting "You Suck" to Kurt. They do it for the hell of it. I've seen videos of dark matches after Smackdown. This man doesn't get booed like this. Hell I've been to a show where this man is cheered like crazy. I also feel as though when those cameras are on the audience just show out.
I can't speak for everyone else, but for me I just can't connect with the dude, never did even in the Shield days. My nickname for him is "Robot Reigns", because to me he just has no emotion, no personality and comes across like an android. He can't convey emotion, wrestles a basic "robotic" style, and like I said dude just doesn't connect with the crowd the same way someone like Rollins/Owens/Cass does. He walks to the ring like he's the Terminator, not changing his facial expression, not changing his stance or anything, just a robot who I find to be incredibly dull.
And still using the Shield theme/attire/gimmick makes no sense to me as well.
Just my view bro, I boo him because I don't care about the dude, when he comes out I take out my phone and hardly look up, dude is boring to me, no different to Titus/Darren Young/Swagger and half the damn roster.
