I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I've been going back and forth on whether I want to listen to that or not :patrice:

It's a pretty good episode. You get to hear a lot about Nancy and Daniel, both of whom (unfortunately) usually get swept under the rug in all of this, and a lot about Benoit and some about Kevin Sullivan as well. It obviously does get depressing toward the end of the episode though.

The most shocking thing about that whole saga to me was seeing pro wresting in general, and so many different pro wrestlers, all over the news segments

Pro wrestling is normally an inner-circle type thing that outsiders barely acknowledge unless its to clown wrestling, or unless there's a celebrity appearance or something. To see Larry King talk about Benoit with Cena, Jericho and Bret Hart, was some bizarro world shyt

I don't even think the steroid scandal of the early 90s was that big in terms of media coverage

I doubt we will ever see mainstream media acknowledge/talk about professional wrestling on that level again in our lifetime….unless (God forbid) another active WWE roster wrestler does something just as bad….or worse

Remember when WWE tried to somewhat save face by suspending 10 wrestlers in August 2007?

Idaho.
My parents shipped me out to DR every summer and I was over there when it happened. My dad dead called me all the way out there to tell me.

And you know what's even crazier is that kayfabe was still so alive because I know people who really believe Vince died when the limo blew up :wow: in hindsight, it wasn't even that long ago.

I posted a link awhile back to a wrestling forum thread that was live posting as it all happened

It was eerie as hell knowing what the outcome was but reading their posts before all the details came out and their reactions and thoughts on why he didn't show up that night

In some ways too, I think Vince saved Daniel Bryan from going down the same path, seeing how Concussions are now a big thing in sports. Now instead of murdering Brie, he will be hailed as the greatest Lightweight to ever wrestle in WWE's world. :blessed:
Man I was :whoa::lupe: towards D-Bry when he was flying all outside the ring damn near injuring himself and hitting headbutts in fear of history repeating itself.

I remember being hyped cuz if I recall the way the show ended or maybe off cameras Chris and Punk had a face off that hyped everyone up!

It's crazy how things turned out

You can tell dude don't look right. He always had that serious look, but you can tell it's different here.
