We won't get any new hires unless dude leaves, so his early departure will get someone else more deserving to fill the role, and no he isn't black.
It sounds like people are assuming that the other people at his job were fine with it and are more concerned about standing on a “code” than all the extra work. But somebody at the office messing with the time sheets is going to put a bulls eye on that office whether it got reported or not. Higher ups aren’t going to say “time fraud”, they are going to say “stealing money”. The OP was a pushover from the beginning. the first time dude left early with his share of the work undone and we had to cover for him would’ve been the last time. his share just wouldn’t have gotten done from that point on until he had to account for himself to corporate.
I’m not gonna continuously do more than my share and then run and tell after I get fed up.
