what exactly is your take?
I don't feel like typing my entire take on the matter because there are multiple areas that I take issue with in response to some of the responses I have seen here, and typing is usually a waste on this site.
Simply put:
1. the cop acted within the law
2. the woman was being unreasonable and had an attitude, although this isn't a crime and imo, shouldn't impact how a cop decides (discretion) to handle you
3. this was a matter of police discretion (I'm almost certain I can find videos of cops receiving a "no" and yet still processing the citation and moving on without holding the suspect
4. we should always champion police officers opting through their discretion in a manner that de-escalates the situation, when available
5. cops should be held to a higher standard with their behavior as opposed to the citizen they are handling
Not a syllogism, just individual points for consideration. People are already planted, minds will not be changed, I sense some bias from some responders given their posting history, I will simply reference this thread in the future. Because in truth, cops, at least in traffic stops, rarely act in a illegal manner, it's almost entirely their discretion that decides the outcome, so I'm almost certain I will have multiple posters here in contradiction if they are ever jump to defend a rowdy suspect in the future. I simply value truth, logic, and consistency, of course I always act in manner that will increase overall wellbeing but those pillars are important to me and I think them necessary to proceed with that goal.
Also, I do see people deriving morality from law

But like I said, I don't care to argue the topic, the argument is clear, I expect consistency in the future.
