The entire notion that sex in alternative spaces has to be associated with damaged individuals is problematic in the first place. Because it doesn’t have to be that way. Men and women can have sexual encounters in sex work without the tragic stories, rape, violence, shame, dysfunction, and abuse. And relationships aren’t the only parameters where these sexual encounters can happen. It doesn’t make logical sense to me to shame people out of basic biological actions if both parties are consenting and not caught up in other shyt. I know chicks who have supplemented shytty incomes in shytty economies with monetary favors from men for sex. Hell, I know chicks who have entire BUSINESSES FUNDED by p*ssy dollars. Life goes on.

That being said, I also don’t like the idea of glamorizing the lifestyle either. I think women should look out for themselves and not get caught up in the dangers of the lifestyle.
