It is very hard (often impossible) to get abortions in the Deep South yet unwanted pregnancies still happen every day down there

Certain red states are VERY tough on crime yet the crime rate in the lower income areas of states like Louisiana are still astronomical

Certain blue states are very tough on guns yet gun crime is still insane in certain liberal cities on the east coast and in the Midwest

People who are low inhibited aren’t deterred by consequences. They’re driven by the thrill of living in the moment. We as a society and most organized religions condemn murder to the fullest extent yet people still murder because they’re not even conscious of the consequences at the time and if they are, it’s secondary in the moment to the temporary pleasure they get from doing whatever they’re doing

Arrogance is assuming everyone is like you. “I’m responsible and think about the consequences of my actions therefore everyone must be like that or have the capability to be like that”. That’s false. Many people aren’t like that and many don’t even have the capability to be like that.

Abortions will never solve social ills in society.

Anybody that believes that abortions prevents poverty, doesn't understand poverty at all (as well as a myriad of other things).

The saying 'prevention is better than cure' is most apt when describing abortion. Women, listen up. There are loads of contraceptives designed for women. Yet you routinely choose the 'cure' (abortion).

Especially when said cure increases mental health risks.

Abortions should only be done for the most extreme circumstances i.e. Rape, Immediate threat to mother's life, Incest.

A quick drive to Alabama or Louisiana was all it took for two of my homegirls to have abortions in Mississippi. With all these obstacles you bring up, then it’s even more apparent that it’s abstinence that needs to be taught in our classrooms.

Not all existence is good existence. Some things we can fix, others we can’t. We can’t fix people with terrible DNA. We can’t fix the fact that there are people who are a$$holes to their kids. We can’t fix the rampant sexism and discrimination in certain cultures. We can’t fix the fact that some people are just wired differently. There’s a lot of suffering in this world that a lot of anti abortion people aren’t conscious of because it’s not their problem. Their concern is holding women accountable, my concern (and the concern of a lot of pro abortion ppl) is the prevention of suffering. Death as a fetus is the lesser of 2 evils if it’s down to that and 75 years of loneliness and trauma

Both man and woman want kid: Have sex, she gets pregnant and changes her mind.

Somehow women have managed to remove themselves from all responsibilities of sex, from initiating it, to having to verbally consent, to the repercussions of the aftermath.
