FWIW he quietly moved to the MPC when he and Buckshot made their 2nd album, The Formula. He never announced it, but by the 2010’s he was mostly using the MPC or the Maschine
Yea I saw him do a demo on the maschine. Now the new gen mostly on fruity loops.

Crazy how it’s flipped around right?
I remember the beginning when it was treated as some kind of false claiming usurper. Now cats banging out chops using keyboards for pads and mastering from the laptop.
Shiiiiiiit. With the new MPC 2.10 update....you don't need anything else really. They're actively evolving this new generation of MPC's into a DAW in a box

Nah. Nicolay never outshined 9th on a remix. I feel like most of work he did after he stopped producing little brother was forgettable. I'm going to say the work after chitlin circuit
