I'm seeing the streets liking this one more than the hipsters and hypebeasts, when it was flipped the other way around for his last 2 projects
I've noticed this, as well. A lot of people on my timeline who aren't hipsters or hype beasts said they weren't a fan of Rocky but sctuskky were really surprised by this album and how much they liked it. And hype beasts claiming the opposite.
It's far superior to Long.Live. Long live was all over the place. shyt wasn't cohesive. And the sequencing was awful.

I love his singing on Better things, it's raw.. And that beat switch up

This is an album. A lot of variety Rocky trying different things but it all fits with the sound of the album. The last albums had a lot more rapping but here it actually has a purpose with everything else he's doing. Also I don't think you can say he's rapping about nothing he has his favorite rhymes but if you listen most songs have a subject he follows.
This album is crack to me. Very smooth and cohesive sound. I can listen to the whole thing for the most part. That video for L$D also is dope as fukk.

It's not 2011 anymore, i dont know whats up w clams as a producer but hopefully they come back on some mixtape shyt but he needed this growth as an artist.
Its not that cohesive to me, so its even better on shuffle. Rare, but it works.
