this shyt is dope. yea Rocky isnt an elite lyricist, but Im really impressed with the production and concepts. definite growth from an artist standpoint, Canal St. might be one of my favorite songs this year

I actually like the weird, alt songs like Pharcyde, LSD, west side highway,etc. This cac plant Joe Fox is awful. The awful distortion ruins Max B, Pharcyde. That Kanye track is awful. His verse. The lazy ass, directionless production. By far the worst track on here considering the hype. A lot of filler, but I will say its slightly better then his debut. Its a shame Rocky is such a generic rapper.

Rocky speaking on gentrification, police brutality and corrupt churches on this album. Yeah, political issues obv aren't the center of the album but I enjoy him slipping those topics into this, even if it wasn't much.

shyt is a classic. This track is a textbook example of why I think Rocky is the best new rapper in 10 years.

His energy, voice and variation of melody is just insane.

The way he changes his voice from "They gon' take me back to my old ways"

to:

I was tryna CHILL, poppin' SEALS ever since I got a DEAL
Kick it with my model chick, sip Cris, fukk nikkas wanna diss
Now I gotta let 'em know who's really TRILL!

to the hook, and even him shouting "Flacko!.... Jodye!" in the background. All different tones, all sound amazing.

How can anyone hate on that melody? It's incredible. No other rapper in this generation is even close to sounding that good.
