Lol that last pic is smiley material.

Brehs Apple will never be like Android, it'll be closed system forever.

Best option is Android. Windows and others are dead in the market.

yea iOS and OS X is apples own proprietary OS they can do with they want with it. Android being open source opens the door for manufactures to enter the market being that there is no licensing cost like say Windows. being that Google just wants access to everyones data. The issue at hand comes when it comes to budget Manufactures is they have non existent /piss poor Software teams, and put these custom skins on the OS thus when it is time for a new Update instead they just release new phones thus rendering the last phone obsolete, but then again people in these "third world" countries just want a phone, but this is an issue in the US and Europe though, which is why people tend to stick with Apple or get a Nexus, and then of course the tiny group of people who root their phones, but most folks dont have time for that.

How is this a scam? A small start-up company isn't going to be able to design its own hardware. He isn't the only company out there selling rebadged tech items.

You're right it really depends on how much the mark up is, but it's not new tech, it's not something he's "inventing" or developing, contrary to the tone of the article. He's just buying the hardware wholesale from China, reskinning it and building a mobile brand around it. If it sounds like I'm hating -- I'm not, I just hate misleading articles. It's a savvy short term business move -- if the phone works well. when I went to China I saw Android/iPhone knock offs EVERYWHERE; they were more popular than the real thing it seemed like
