All this shyt is turning on its head now. People keep asking for more money but are these companies willing to pay? Folks out here trying to get paid for flipping burgers the same that a person gets after busting ass in college and accumulating mad debt. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens in a year or two because it’s crazy out here right now. Y’all better learn how to cook because I don’t know how long this current restaurant thing will last like this.

Right???? Real rap, the starting wage should be damn near $22. Some people are going to scoff but the fight for 15 started so long ago, inflation ate whatever gains 15 would have made in 2015 let alone 2021.
Ok. Amazon is hiring right now. $20-25/hr. Still cant fill positions. Whats your next excuse?

As for the story reminds of when I use to work at McDonald's. We had a 99¢ Big Mac day with no limits per order. So you know brehs were going to take advantage 10-20 big Macs per order. Lunch started at 11 and by 3 everyone had walked out except my manager and I. I worked the drive thru, fries and front counter and he made the big Macs. Was a horror show lol. Never had a harder day of work in my life:wow:

I notice the people who get upset about this stuff, it's not because they are against a livable wage. It's an ego thing.

It's also a convenience thing, cheap an easy is more important than human beings.

They feel they earned the right to be in a class above these workers.

If these low skill workers close the gap on their wages, then in their mind, it lessens their achievement.

I'm not as well off if you're doing better. They base how well they are doing by how big the gap is between them and others, not by if they are happy or comfortable.

It's like when people say "I'm an EMT and make 15$ an hour why should fast food workers make the same as me?"

Notice how their thought was why do fast food workers make the same as me. Not why don't I make more than fast food workers. The irony is this is the same argument the fast food workers are making. They just don't realize they are also being fukked.

People don't feel good about themselves unless they know others are doing worse, it's a sad fact.
No. Its cause im an employer. My costs have gone up every where, which in return makes me charge more. But customers arent always willing to pay more. So in return it hurts business.

Why would a 15 year old kid need a liveable wage ?

15 year old kids are in school during the day, teenagers take summer jobs, teenagers have never been the bulk of work force anywhere ever at any point of time in modern American history

let the chipolte close down who cares, if nobody wants to work for their business, then the business should fail

Online orders have made Chipotle by me ridiculous during lunch and dinner.

So many restaurants don’t know how to handle these app services. One of my favorite diners turned shyt due to poor load management. :francis:

I wonder if some of the larger chains will move to using regional, online only delivery hubs that can support the in-person stores demand. The staff can cook all shift and set up for incoming drivers, possibly in-person to-go orders

Oh so you've been capitalizing off a disparity created before you were born. I'm sorry that the success of small business's was predicated off an unsustainable cost model. It was a bubble that was going to burst no matter what.

Why don't you pick yourself up by the boot straps then? This is a free market, this is the gamble you took.

:mjlol: these cats in here not gonna answer your question

I remember before the pandemic and before the minimum wage increase.. The millennials was crying about the seniors taking all the entry level jobs, and they need to be paid $15 and hour..

Now the seniors aren't working there anymore and the wage is at $15 and hr and they still don't wanna work. :pachaha:

Oh I see you a troll. Cut my my post making that point so you can catch daps :ehh:
Your budget for the day doesnt change if you are open 15 hours a day, and you hire 3 people to do the job at 5 hours each or 2 people to do it… incase you cant do math…

Why are you asking me this like im the one quitting jobs?:mjlol:Im well paid to oversea a helpdesk all day.

Amazon has been well known to be a shyt place with churn, just as Fast Food is. Remember, I said should be *starting* at damn near 22:sas1:when you get to a certain level, we start talking total compensation, so 22 is a start. Besides that, if everyone is having to bump wages, doesn't it stand to reason that the places copping folks are probably better places to work?

Haven't eaten Chipotle in years and for good reason. shyt fell off hard years ago but still the food industry needs an overhaul especially when it comes to paying their employees and health benefits. Went to Freebirds the other day and they had a long ass table with to go orders stacked on it. The line for the drivers to pick their orders up was longer than the actual customer line and the workers were panicked trying to make orders. Sad sight to see.
