Does he qualify for OT? Just cause you make a salary doesn't necessarily mean you can't get OT. But I know nothing about Chipotle's pay practices.

I doubt it..:francis:

from 2008

chipotle had a lawsuit against them where they weren't even paying manager apprentices/trainees overtime. if they not paying manager trainees and assistant managers overtime, I seriously doubt the general manger is getting overtime as well.

are kids suppose to be in school so they don't have to work these type of jobs when their adults lmao
The $1000000 question.

Country offers shyt jobs and pushes back on criticism by telling them to get a skill/go to college.

Anyone who doesn't value this type of labor should not complain one iota.

15 year old kids are in school during the day, teenagers take summer jobs, teenagers have never been the bulk of work force anywhere ever at any point of time in modern American history

let the chipolte close down who cares, if nobody wants to work for their business, then the business should fail
All they would do is close down in certain areas and screw those people over. A lot of these places are downsizing.. we just saw CVS do it. A lot of these people for or against what’s going on will end up being mad because their lazy asses want to be able to go get that Chipotle or Starbucks instead of making some shyt at home. Same folks be surprised that the chic Fil a or Zaxby’s is closed at 7pm on a Friday and shyt.

So what these "kids" going to do in the mean time? Either lay in the house being a unproductive bumb, or stay going to school, accumulating more debt doing the college scam?

I have absolutely no problem with a generation going another direction, but I absolutely see nothing beneficial coming out of this for entry level work..

I drive DoorDash and UberEats part-time on weekends, and Chipotle (besides Chic Fil A) is by far the busiest store that comes through with orders. Everytime I actually try to pick an order up there, the workers look like the walking dead. Way too many orders in that store, and I know pay is shyt. Surprised more fast food workers havent quit, and this is why all stores that can close the inside, do exactly that. I feel bad for fast food workers in general, but way overworked these days.

As for the story reminds of when I use to work at McDonald's. We had a 99¢ Big Mac day with no limits per order. So you know brehs were going to take advantage 10-20 big Macs per order. Lunch started at 11 and by 3 everyone had walked out except my manager and I. I worked the drive thru, fries and front counter and he made the big Macs. Was a horror show lol. Never had a harder day of work in my life:wow:

That is similar to when I worked at McDonald’s as a teen. They had $1 Filet O Fish on Fridays and people were ordering 5-30 at a time. It was my job to just put down the frozen patties for hours because these people kept gorging on the shyt:wow:

Why would a 15 year old kid need a liveable wage ?

It’s just not teenagers working these jobs. Most of the people working those jobs are adults with limited education who just trying to keep their head above water. A lot of those teens leave the fast food jobs in a few weeks. The people who stay are the adults who can’t afford to quit because they got bills due. So they get overworked in them understaffed kitchens.
