And bolded is one of the biggest issuesThe $1000000 question.
Country offers shyt jobs and pushes back on criticism by telling them to get a skill/go to college.
Anyone who doesn't value this type of labor should not complain one iota.
Pay them MORE!!!![]()
so are jobs not supposed to exist for the 15-20 year olds ? Everyone jsut supposed to make the same money rather 15 or 35 that is content living at the bare minimum ? No need to strive for more ? 32 hours a week (part time hours) would need to be around $15-16.
an extra $5 a hour across lets say 10 employees comes out to near $200,000 extra a year in payroll.
To scoop chicken.
We raised min wage in California and most jobs even chipotle and mcondalds now offer near $5 more hour than min wage.
Still cant find employees. The goal posts will always be moved.
the real truth is, kids just dont want to work anymore (although I do agree their should be a cap on how many orders a place should take an hour to maintain a healthy moral and workload. These places arent built for mass digital orders + being open inside, but this isnt a hourly issue, this is a logistics issue)
i'm not sure if thats the case for a salaried manager.
Damn that dumb bamma playing hisself
edit: a salaried manager from an unrelated business.

You’ll catch flack for saying it, but in general raising pay doesn’t fix the issue. There’s been a generational culture shift too. Why would a kid flip burgers when YouTube stars are making millions playing video games?
I’m still interested in the end effect of all this. Because too many people are used to the conveniences of fast food. Everybody is applauding folks quitting… until they can’t find good service when they need it
My man you are talking about that YouTube shyt like there hasn’t been generations of kids who wanted to be Rockstars or ball players. in theory being a successful YouTuber is easier, but just like the other stuff I mentioned, most people will not bear fruit in their pursuit. Not to mention you can do the YouTube stuff part time so if someone was working a shyt job and their YouTube takes off enough to supplant the income they want to pay, who gives a shyt ?You’ll catch flack for saying it, but in general raising pay doesn’t fix the issue. I really wish people would stop sayin' ignorant shyt like this.
Most of the people quitting just want a livable wage.
If the person flipping burgers now makes as much as the person who has a college degree, why is the person who has the college degree mad at the burger flipper, and not the company they work for?
I just had to come back here because this shyt has me ready to rant like noooo tomorrow.
Dig this. I dont feel sorry for these folks one bit. You know how many fukking times it was busy and we got paid minimum wage. We basically worked through everything. The raise would be 15 fukking cents. If anything, that shyt motivated me, made me humble and saw that shyt for what it is.
Hell, even this whole quitting your job makes me sick because i remember when i did the same exact shyt these folks did and I WAS STRUGGLING TO FIND WORK. As i said, im living or have lived the life that a lot of these guys are speaking about but either didnt live that shyt or they forgot where they came from. Either way, real heads know what that struggle life is like and theres folks going through way worse than these fools who are chose to do that shyt and are quitting.
shyt should motivate you to want or go for better but folks dont see it that way. Youre supposed to work there and find a better job IF you can but that shyt is temporary. All im gonna say is just be real because its a cold world out here. Be ready to freeze if you dont have a safety net

As for your last point, you are speaking to the selfish nature of people. Yes there are going to be some people who switch stances when they can’t get something they want done, but a substantial amount understands especially in the social media era that this is a watershed moment and some inconveniences now can lead to great gains very soon. Let the economy collapse again and it’s gonna show itself. Anyone griping about a lack of service later does not mean they are not right to see what the service industry is now. Peoples desire for convenience won’t change overnight.
Went to Jersey Mikes when app orders started popping off last year....the amount of online orders plus the shyt they'd normally have to do actually shocked me, and they had the nerve to only have 3 workers. Corporate left them nikkas to the wolves....they wasn't ready at all
.
You even had bytch ass customers waiting in the corner, arms folded looking mad as hell that their orders were taking too long. I would've walked out on the spot.
