When it comes to clothing, the best clothing never comes from the major fashion houses, but some smaller outfit making stuff by hand with the best materials. I'd take a suit from 'Articles of Style' than any tieir 1 fashion house, and AoS wouldn't even classify themselves as a top bespoke clothier. Same with shoes. Hermes does buck that trend when it comes to Luxury Handbags. Them damn Birkin bags are literally financial assets, Birkin bag values have outpaced the stock market for over 3 decades.

How did you determine this list?

:mjcry: @ massimo dutti, allsaints, and paul smith being in the bottom tier. Those some brands I rock on the low that I get comments on

Harrods in London might be the goat luxury clothing store given it's size, selection, and variety. It's the store I finally got to put my hands on Loro Piani, Kiton, Brunello and a lot of other brands I rarely see in stores. They had hella casablanca, rhude, and Kaptial type brands in there too so I could finally gauge the sizing of shyt
Bought a Longchamps bag for my wife I’m at Harrods London Heathrow airport. That store smells luxury.

it’s wild how the majority of these brands are awful. of those listed, APC and acne studios are the only labels whose clothing i’d wear without much hesitation.

Crazy how APC and acne studios are tier 4 while tacky garbage like christian dior and louis vuitton are tier 1.

:jbhmm:
I don’t wear any luxury brands at all but understand their ranking when it comes to innovation, market influence and legacy.

You probably aren’t really into fashion like that if you even bring up which brands you would wear as an indicator of value.

i bring up apc and acne, compared to the rest on this list, because i have several pieces from both labels and their releases match my wardrobe’s aesthetic. the other brands’ typical drops aren’t to my liking.

all i’ve seen from louis in the past decade is the gaudy shyt rappers rock and what virgil worked on. i should add that the recently unveiled drop by the label’s new creative director, pharrell, was awful.

legacy and market influence don’t really move me. construction, fit and cleanliness are the three key areas i look at when deciding to purchase an article of clothing.

it doesn’t hurt that apc and acne aren’t as pricey as the tier 1 brands.

I see no DKNY and they are up there for quality/affordable ladies bags and accessories

My all time fave is Cartier
