Not a Chiefs fan here. But I do like their team.

Here's the thing... the Chiefs have tried this same tactic for over 20 years... and have NOTHING to show it. Why are they being applauded for doing the same shyt again?

They also haven`t had a good coach since dikk Vermiel.

And this tactic worked when they had Trent Green, they were a good team for a few years with a QB no one considered great.

So you want Chiefs fans... who have seen this shyt... over and over and over again... to be excited about the SAME thing happening again with another decent at best QB?

Trent Green was much more highly thought of then Smith..The Rams were devestated when he went down the year they won the super bowl because they knew they had a really good young qb..

The Chiefs were the highest scoring team or one of for a few years with Trent..if they didnt also have the worst defense in the league they might have made a super bowl or two with him.

Would you prefer them vacate the position and just outright suck for the hope they land a QB through the draft? I see both sides. ALex Smith is bascially setting yourself up for a WC berth at best for the next three years. IDK..being average in sports is worse than being awful.

The Yay
the only argument I see is that AFC west is weak as shyt, and AFC in general aint that strong. so if they play well they can get a WC berth or somethin

Now time trade Revis to 49ers, and did I just see that contradictory Lastemperor say he love to have Revis, but stayed shytting on him saying CB's are overrated. I guess he change his stance watching 49ers secondary get torched lol

Why not just draft someone you know like every other franchise has done? It doesn't even have to be with the 1st pick. You could've got EJ Manuel or Glennon in the 2nd and get a stop gap guy in Free agency.

Im sorry thats a terrible trade from any angle I look. Im a big believer in picks and potentially two second rounders for alex is just retarded

No, that's a terrible trade from your angle.

Not everyone is a big believer in picks.

I like having a lot of picks but i`ve seen teams have 10 picks and get shyt out of those 10.

Let's take a look at what #34 has produced over the last few years

2012 - Coby Fleener TE Indy
2011 - Aaron Williams DB Bills
2010 - Chris Cook DB Vikings
2009 - Patrick Chung S Patriots
2008 - Donnie Avery WR Rams
2007 - Paul Pozlusny LB Bills
2006 - Dqwll Jackson LB Browns
2005 - Brodney Pool S Browns
2004 - Chris Snee G Giants
2003 - Boss Bailey LB Lions

So out of 10 players, only 1 ever played in Pro Bowl, that being Chris Snee

I love having picks too, but I think at times they're over-valued.

Once again... why not get a Matt Hasselbeck or a Matt Moore if that's serious? Why do you want a fanbase who hasn't seen a Super Bowl in over 30 years to be excited about seeing the same thing that has failed for 20 years? You don't accept mediocrity just because it's on the table.

The Chiefs can still do that and have them hold a clipboard for a year....the old fashioned way.

Then next season have an open competition.

I do agree with the fact that anyhting can happen in the nfl..medicori er parity:smugfavre: has made it where all you need to do is get hot at the end of the year rarely does the best team anymore its like the nhl

My problem isnt so much they traded for Alex [he can do well in the west coast with Andy plus theyll draft that LT from a&m and he has weapons its a good spot for him].. its that they basically gave up a first rounder and its not like you had tons of teams offering high picks where u had to up the ante

The Comfort Zone
he got his money and hes really enjoying playing with kaep. kaep's will to win is contagious.

:heh:

I hope you're not banking on that.

The Chiefs went from crappy to average. I don't see why their fanbase should be "livid."

ETA: Two picks? :sadcam:

What was the other option for them? Lets be real?

You draft Geno Smith, say he sucks, well you just sunk 4 years of your franchise into the guy.

Don't you want to get better and win games? Alex Smith makes them better immediately.
