I gave it a shot and the first season was straight. But it suffered from no involvement from Eddie and Waithe going overboard with the gay stuff. They had a whole episode where a dude had a dream about getting pegged, then spent the next ten minutes with his therapist convincing him that it wasn't gay
I don't think that this show will be successful.
Black culture is just not in the same headspace now as it was during the late '80s and early '90s when A Different World was on air.
