A lot of places now do have programs to report to credit agencies for paying on time. You have to elect in though…if your credit already good it’s not worth it imoYour credit score counts against you when trying to get an apartment, but paying your rent on time doesn't improve your credit score. But if you don't pay your rent it hurts your credit score.
