["Young men get little help, in part, because schools are focused on encouraging historically underrepresented students. Jerlando Jackson, department chair, Education Leadership and Policy Analysis, at the University of Wisconsin’s School of Education, said few campuses have been willing to spend limited funds on male underachievement that would also benefit white men, risking criticism for assisting those who have historically held the biggest educational advantages.

“As a country, we don’t have the tools yet to help white men who find themselves needing help,” Dr. Jackson said. “To be in a time when there are groups of white men that are falling through the cracks, it’s hard.”]

Well there it is...young white men are struggling out here now because the country only cares about minority men's progress now. They specifically are being left behind. Got it.

Anyway, the way I see it, everybody has a role to play out here. Everybody can't be a doctor/lawyer/engineer...but everybody can't be a mechanic/plumber/barber either. Figuring that out is hard for most and yeah it’s harder when you're spending a shyt ton of money in the process. So giving kids the idea that you NEED to go to college ain't the move because if you're going to go, it needs to be for something that's going to actually benefit you. Otherwise, it's an ridiculously expensive waste of time so it’s definitely not the answer that’s been sold to everybody for decades.

But on the flip, this blanket anti-intellectualism that's been running around in this country everywhere this last decade, man... One dude in the article quit after a few weeks of struggling. That's not even trying. I get it, college not for everybody, I flunked out of school my first year (STEM). Point blank, I quit, I was lazy. I had to grow up and figured out that what I was doing wasn't going to work either, to force myself to go back and finish. I hated every minute of it but I hated being broke more.

But if anybody thinks abandoning education as a serious option is going to be a positive for us when the majority of the US' doctors and engineers etc are Asian immigrants (if that’s not the case already)... :francis:

Neither of the two schools I've attended(Auburn and Georgia Tech) have shopping malls on campus.

You're in a competition for students. Most colleges have a nearby competitor in their price/education/location range. Because of that, you have to do things outside of education to make your school more attractive whether that's sports, campus amenities, etc.

Colleges offer tons of financial aid these days. It is conditional though and the scholarship process isn't easy for most.

As for the admin pay level, I can't say which schools are and aren't efficient with their uses of resources on the admin side. That's usually signed off by the board of trustees I think. Regardless, you lower the pay and you'll either have less people working there or a lower quality of worker. That's why they don't go down.

Regardless, I agree that tuition is too high. But just saying the schools can just lower them is simplifying the issue too much.
Plus, what he's suggesting just won't fly in a state like TX where public universities have to fight for their budget seems like the end of every fiscal year. And rarely is it to the point where tuition can remain flat or decrease so they have to make up the shortfalls somewhere.

:stopitslime: WTF are you talking about? On this forum, the black sector of YouTube, & on Black Twitter; BW outnumbering BM in college has always been a talking point, not to mention the whole "BW are the most educated demographic in this country" trope.

Even if this article is just about WM, than it sounds like WM are catching up to BM.

It's the other way around.

BW in college has nothing to do with why BM arent.

Yes from what I understand a lot of what makes an Air Force dude a Commissioned Officer would be done by Army Warrant Officers (which I also considered being)

I added a edit to my comment but yes yhats the case. Alot of AF officers (myself included) are in operations career fields like flying ops, c2, Cyber Ops, Intel, Special Tactics, and Space. The AF already puts a premium on being technically proficient as a Operator so you wind up with officers who are damn good operators but not as good of mgrs/leaders

It shows a basic lack of how schools are run.

College tuition is too high. :jbhmm:
Hmmm, how do we fix it? :patrice:

LOWER IT! :damn:

:ohhh:

Problem solved. :win:

What suggests to you that colleges can just "lower the prices"?

I don't have a deep enough knowledge of the financial statements for non-profit colleges. Do you?

Correct.
Most colleges overcharge for their services. Costs can also be lowered by the government paying for most of it like it used to.

Air force and dont worry about being a terrible officer.....In the AF youre supposed to be a terrible officer until at least your 3rd year as a captain

I will say the Army doesnt play with officers tho. You better have good organization skills and know how to manage programs and procure assets. The Army might be full of fukk shyt but they churn out good Officers imo.
Well I'd say that the Army has good Senior NCO's and if you're not a good junior officer you won't have the respect of the NCO's and your career will be short.

Do they?

On the second part, I would agree that more government involvement seems like the easiest path to reducing tuition costs.

This is why serious conversations about men’s outlook on life
Can not happen on this forum
Everything in life is not about fukking or entertaining some female
There are a lot of men(across all racial lines) feeling displaced in this world
Feel like failures for not “figuring it out” at the appropriate societal age
Out here depressed even when they are the most popular and successful
Men’s mental healthy is put on the back burner and it’s goofy fakkits like you
That help keep perpetuating this mythos of men not being human
I don’t even get mad at bytches when they say this dumbshyt
Because clearly they don’t know better and never can walk in a mans shoes
But when I read fukk nikkas like you saying this shyt
Boiling everything down to “incel “
It tells me you more bytch than a female
And some of y’all wonder why you don’t have true homies
Just as toxic as these bytches:hhh:

Well, that explains why white people will be the minority in the U.S. The government has no one else to blame, but themselves for being greedy. They wanted more taxable income, queue the feminist movement.

It wasn't taxable income they were after really, it had more to do with the fact women spend more money on unnecessary shyt than men. They empowered women to fatten their pockets, but that taxable income isn't doing shyt for the government like that.
