A honest take on MS and Sony consoles.

One thing I don't get is how some people act like these company's or your friends and hold a emotional attachment to them. Sony and MS are in the business to make money period. Sony is not your friend or care about you as a "gamer". Sony was on the verge of bankruptcy not to long ago, so they had to come correct. They let MS take the brunt of all the negative publicity and stay quite. Sony will have a lot the same policy and entertainment features as MS just less quality. I'm a smart person and can see through the BS. The only thing MS is guilty of is being honest and trying to move the industry forward. Where they messed up at is in the public relations dept. Its like trying to tell people the world is round 500 yrs ago. If people don't understand or comprehend it they will think you are crazy. MS has a vision on what they want to go. Honestly I feel like Sony doesn't, they are not trying to move anything forward. Sony wants you spend money on PSN but has not giving you any benefits for the added cost.

I have no problem if PS3/4 is your console of choice. The problem is when you are so emotionally tied to a company that will not acknowledge anything its competitor is doing well and not acknowledge the issues that are in your own camp. The PS4 is lacking a good exclusive games for launch compared to the X1 (Save for Killzone). The general public are not aware or concerned about all the little things we argue about. What they care about is bang for the buck and brand recognition. In the US Xbox is the bigger name, so came this holiday season when mom and dad look at these two systems and compare the overall capabilities the X1 is the bigger draw in my opinion. It has something for everybody in the family and that a strong advantage. In the end it will be like this gen that is coming to a close. I don't think neither one will be overall sales leader and will be very close. And that is a good thing for Sony.

I have both systems pre-ordered and I have to say I'm a little concerned on whats going on in Sony land. When I went to the official Sony thread all it was is X1 hating which is never a good sign. So at this point I'm seriously thinking about canceling my pre-order or flipping the PS4 because as of now. Sony has not proving to me as to why I should buy their system that will suit my needs. Now call me a Xbot in 3....2....1

Eh I don't think there's a wrong choice with either. If killzone and infamous turn out good then I'm fine with that. I'm sure forza will be dope but dead rising, ryse, and quantum break are the unknowns that I'm interested in on ms along with killer instinct. kind of interested in killzone and infamous to a degree, I just gotta try not to associate them with the previous games because they look dope.

xbox is more the modern gamer and playstation is for the traditional
i just got into gaming this gen, I mean this like the first time I owned systems myself
the ps3 was just a better system, a lot of games are showing their age now, but the ps3 exclusives still look good
I ain't fan neither of company, but I got into this shyt because I was trying to get a job writing about games, because it seemed like an easy way to make money
I didn't end up getting a job, but thats how I got into gaming

One game where you can really see the difference between the system is Final Fantasy XIII
it was made exclusively for the ps3 and the graphics are still some of the best this gen, and the game is old.
The X-Box port was vastly inferior, which is understandable because it was a port
but when they made xiii-2 which was multiplat there was a dramatic drop off in graphical detail, and even that new one thats coming out looks nowhere near as
good as the first
I know the game was shytty, I'm just using it as example how a lot of those great multiplat games would've been a lot better developed as ps3 exclusives
also they got better has the system aged, when X-Box got worst in quality as far games

with that said ps4 would be the wisest purchase, because it be a long term investment

But sports games..... If I recall I thought games like Madden and 2k looked and played better on Xbox?

Wasn't it an issue a few years back (since Niccas always wanna talk about frame rates) that the frame rates on one of the ps 2k's was terrible?

i could've been a difference on the sports game, but it wasn't noticeable
but I wonder how it would looked if the game was just made with the ps3 in mind

Gaming is a very small part in my life so I guess it makes me a casual gamer. But HATE no matter what subject it is to hear outright lies when a person states their opinion as fact. Sony stans have been the overall guilty party of this. There is a difference between a Sony fan and a Sony Stan. Its nothing wrong if you prefer sony.

Not saying its good or bad but when has so called following been a crime? Was there like a rule that after 2002 no one could so called follow something?

Everyone bites from everyone but its like it seems to be the trend to attack MS and only claim they do it
