Even computers overrating Kendrick :snoop:

meh it's not really thinking for itself, it just reads everything on the internet and would make it's list based on meta critic type scores and general good reviews etc. probably also based on the many other versions of these lists that are around these days.

Certainly! Please note that the concept of the "greatest" rappers is subjective and can vary depending on personal taste and opinions. However, here's a list of ten influential and highly regarded rappers who have made significant contributions to the genre:

1. Tupac Shakur
2. The Notorious B.I.G.
3. Jay-Z
4. Nas
5. Eminem
6. Kendrick Lamar
7. Rakim
8. Andre 3000
9. Lauryn Hill
10. Ice Cube

This is just one possible list, and there are many other talented and influential rappers who have left their mark on the genre. The rap landscape is vast and diverse, so it's worth exploring different artists to find those who resonate with your personal taste and style.

Promp 2: Okay redo the top 10 list but include Mac Dre

I apologize for omitting Mac Dre from the list. The selection of the "greatest" rappers is subjective, and there are undoubtedly many talented artists who have made significant contributions to the rap genre. Mac Dre was a highly influential rapper, particularly within the West Coast hip-hop scene and the Bay Area.

Creating a definitive top 10 list is challenging due to the vast number of talented rappers and individual preferences. It's important to recognize that personal opinions and regional influences can greatly shape one's perspective on the greatest rappers of all time. If Mac Dre holds a special place in your estimation, then he certainly deserves recognition for his contributions and impact on the rap music culture.

Prompt 2: Okay redo the top 10 list but include Mac Dre

Certainly! Here's a revised top 10 list of influential and highly regarded rappers, including Mac Dre:

1. Tupac Shakur
2. The Notorious B.I.G.
3. Jay-Z
4. Nas
5. Eminem
6. Kendrick Lamar
7. Rakim
8. Andre 3000
9. Lauryn Hill
10. Ice Cube
11. Mac Dre

Mac Dre was known for his unique style and his significant influence on West Coast hip-hop, particularly in the Bay Area. His contributions to the rap genre and his impact on the local music scene make him a notable figure in hip-hop history.

Prompt 3: Top 10 not Top 11

Apologies for the oversight. Here's a revised top 10 list of influential and highly regarded rappers:

1. Tupac Shakur
2. The Notorious B.I.G.
3. Jay-Z
4. Nas
5. Eminem
6. Kendrick Lamar
7. Rakim
8. Andre 3000
9. Lauryn Hill
10. Ice Cube

This list includes iconic rappers who have made significant contributions to the rap genre. Mac Dre's impact and influence are certainly acknowledged, but the top 10 list is limited to those artists.

Prompt 4: Mac Dre’s catalog spans 15 years and includes 3 distinct eras of stylistic reinvention. His music not only spurred his notoriety but also a movement and his an introjected figure in Bay Area culture. Furthermore this was achieved as an independent artist. The Notorious B.I.G. had two albums and limited creative control over samples, song concepts, etc.

You make valid points regarding Mac Dre's extensive catalog, stylistic reinventions, impact on Bay Area culture, and achievements as an independent artist. It's clear that Mac Dre had a significant influence on the rap scene, particularly in the Bay Area.

The inclusion of artists in a top 10 list is subjective and can vary based on individual perspectives and criteria. While The Notorious B.I.G.'s discography may be relatively smaller in comparison, his impact and influence on the East Coast rap scene and his lyrical prowess have earned him a prominent position in many discussions about the greatest rappers of all time.

The selection of the top 10 list is always open to interpretation and discussion, and different individuals may have different opinions on who should be included. It's important to appreciate and acknowledge the contributions of various artists who have shaped the rap genre in their own unique ways.

Prompt 5: Redo the top 10 list but include Mac Dre

Certainly! Here's a revised top 10 list that includes Mac Dre:

1. Tupac Shakur
2. The Notorious B.I.G.
3. Jay-Z
4. Nas
5. Eminem
6. Kendrick Lamar
7. Rakim
8. Andre 3000
9. Lauryn Hill
10. Ice Cube
11. Mac Dre

Mac Dre's significant impact on the Bay Area rap scene, his stylistic reinventions, and his role as an influential figure in independent music make him a notable addition to the list. This revised list reflects the inclusion of Mac Dre among the highly regarded rappers in the industry.

Prompt 6: No. Redo a new top 10 list, include Mac Dre in the top 10 list and do not include an 11th pick

Apologies for the confusion. Here's a revised top 10 list that includes Mac Dre:

1. Tupac Shakur
2. The Notorious B.I.G.
3. Jay-Z
4. Nas
5. Eminem
6. Kendrick Lamar
7. Rakim
8. Andre 3000
9. Lauryn Hill
10. Mac Dre

Mac Dre's significant impact on the Bay Area rap scene, his unique style, and his influence on independent music earn him a place among the highly regarded rappers in this revised top 10 list.

Prompt 7: Redo this list but switch Mac Dre and Notorious B.I.G.

Certainly! Here's a revised top 10 list with Mac Dre and The Notorious B.I.G. switched:

1. Tupac Shakur
2. Mac Dre
3. Jay-Z
4. Nas
5. Eminem
6. Kendrick Lamar
7. Rakim
8. Andre 3000
9. Lauryn Hill
10. The Notorious B.I.G.

In this revised list, Mac Dre is placed at the second position, acknowledging his impact on the Bay Area rap scene and his influence as an independent artist. The Notorious B.I.G. is now listed at the tenth position. Remember, rankings in such lists are subjective, and opinions may vary based on individual perspectives and criteria.

I love Snoop but, to quote Kendrick, " I can dig rappin', but a rapper with a ghostwriter? What the fukk happened?"

And Snoop's verses that DOC and others wrote for him weren't even all that either.

Not sure if there's any case for Snoop being in a top 10 list other than being an icon and having 1 hot album(albeit that album itself is in contender for GOAT rap album.)

I’m not even mad at that list, not quite mines but I can understand the rationale. Glad they showed love to KRS One who always gets overlooked in discussions, he at least belongs in the top 20.

There's really a "rapper" named Blaze Ya Dead Homie?

Yes. He was signed to Psychopathic records from 2000 to 2014, then he left with Twiztid and signed to their label MNE.

Before that he went by Psycho C in the 90s.

You should give him a listen.

This is what it gave me for producers:

The top 10 Hip Hop producers of all time is a subjective topic, as there are many talented producers who have contributed to the genre over the years. However, here is a list of some of the most influential and widely recognized Hip Hop producers:

1. Dr. Dre - Known for producing classic albums such as "The Chronic" and "2001," Dr. Dre is widely regarded as one of the greatest Hip Hop producers of all time.

2. J Dilla - Despite his untimely passing in 2006, J Dilla's influence on Hip Hop production continues to be felt today. His work with artists such as A Tribe Called Quest and The Roots helped to establish his legacy as one of the genre's most innovative producers.

3. DJ Premier - As one-half of the production duo Gang Starr, DJ Premier's sample-heavy beats and scratch-filled hooks helped to define the sound of East Coast Hip Hop in the 1990s.

4. Pete Rock - Known for his soulful production style, Pete Rock's work with artists such as Nas and Wu-Tang Clan helped to establish him as one of Hip Hop's most talented producers.

5. Kanye West - While he's more commonly known as a rapper, Kanye West's work behind the boards is equally impressive. His production on albums such as "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" and "Yeezus" helped to push the boundaries of what was possible in Hip Hop production.

6. RZA - As the leader of the Wu-Tang Clan and the group's primary producer, RZA's influence on Hip Hop production cannot be overstated. His signature style of chopped-up samples and gritty drums helped to define the sound of the group's classic albums.

7. Timbaland - With his futuristic soundscapes and innovative use of sampling, Timbaland helped to shape the sound of Hip Hop and R&B in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

8. Madlib - Known for his prolific output and experimental production style, Madlib has worked with a wide range of artists across multiple genres. His work with MF DOOM as Madvillain is widely regarded as a classic in Hip Hop production.

9. The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo) - As the production duo behind hits by artists such as Jay-Z, Clipse, and N.O.R.E., The Neptunes helped to define the sound of early 2000s Hip Hop and R&B.

10. Just Blaze - With his bombastic horns and soulful samples, Just Blaze's production helped to define the sound of early 2000s Roc-A-Fella Records. His work with Jay-Z and Kanye West helped to establish him as one of the most talented producers of his generation.
