that's all lovely, clean and delightful likewise with those Scandaniavian plush 1 bedroom appartment cells etc but nothing can pamper and decorate a sentence where you are constantly watched, analysed and controlled by another group of authorised men/women in uniform! No Thank you.

BeingBroke and Homeless--------) living in a plush prison apartment/cell.

I know someone who did years in a Japanese prison. It may be cleaner and less hostile than American prisons, but you’re practically a robot. You can’t talk at all when you’re working, and your sat in one spot for hours. Only people with some freedom of movement are the supervisors. He learned the language just so he can supervise and have some meaning. He said the guards would test the fukk out of you. I forget how much time they’d add on if you hit one of em, but I remember my jaw dropping when he told me. He legit won’t go back because of how he was treated.

The Japanese legal system is nuts also. They let EVERY military member know this as soon as they step foot in Japan during INDOC, but they can hold you in a Japanese prison for up to 30 days, release you, then hold you for another 30 days until they get a confession out of you.

THAT'S JUST FOR CHARGES! They could have zero proof you did anything, and they could [and would] hold you hostage in order to get you to admit to something you haven't even done:skip:. That's why their conviction rate is 98%:damn:.

If you don't have money for commissary, you get force-fed fish heads and rice also:scust:

Story time:

My homie got hit with a speeding ticket and reckless driving charge for doing 90kph in an unmarked area [which, unbeknownst to him, maxes out at 60kph]. The JP cop straight up told him that if he didn't fall under SOFA (Status of Forces Agreement), that would've been his ass, and he would've been sitting in prison for 30 days off rip:francis:.

He went to court for that shyt, and the judge whipped out an entire case file on him and said that he had a history of speeding because he got a ticket 10 years ago:russ:. This kat was from Georgia, so how the fúck this little Japanese lady got that info 10,000 miles away is still a mystery:mjlol:

Anywho, the judge literally told that man that if he fought the charge in court, he'd be fúcked:francis:. He'd have to do 6 months in Japanese prison, pay a ¥75,000 yen fine ( $460:damn: ), AND would have his license revoked for a year:dead:.

She gave him 2 options: either pay the damn fine and attend a class on safe driving, or fight the charge and have ALLLLLLL of the above happen GUARANTEED. This nìgga said, "Aye, you ain't even have to say all that:damn:", and slammed that shít on the counter:dead::pachaha::mjlol:

Im pretty adamant he would never be allowed back there then LOL

What was he doing in Japan? Teacher? and what crime did he commit?
Tbh he doesn’t like talking about it so I never really pushed him on it. He’ll talk about some shyt he learned or when it’s super cold it brings him back. He harps about being careful who you call your friend and shyt. Not really my business tbh. He legit hated how these little japs would scold him or get in his face and there ain’t shyt you can do. They knew what they were doing.

People eat up all of the propaganda but i would rather deal with some third world countries' law enforcement. I rather get shaken down for money than get arrested for something i did not do, forced to silence unless confessing to a crime or otherwise get my stay extended until i do. After all of that possibly being put in a prison where i can't move or speak or else i will be punished.

Some real dystopian shyt.
