They are not getting the talent yeah.
NIL was basically created to end Nick Saban
Alabama is still top 3 basically every year in HS recruiting.
Retention of that talent year to year once they hit campus is the difference.

Even though school endowments don't go to their football programs, its still an indicator to who's who and what's what. Not rich?

Harvard- $53 billion
Yale- $41 billion
Stanford- $36 billon
Texas- $20 billion
Michigan- $19 billion
USC- $8 billion
Georgia - $2 billion
Alabama- $ 1 billion
Auburn- $1 billion
This is true but on the flip side of that, kids aren't exactly running to USC or UCLA in packs.

If Saban was 50 yrs old, u muthafukkaz wouldn't stand a chance. They are not getting the talent yeah.

Alabama's talent at skill positions has dropped pretty badly. Even their transfers out of the program like Bond and Hall didnt set the world on fire with new programs. None of them compare to Ridley, Jeudy, Riggs, Smitty, Jamo etc.
Even with mid ass QBs like Mac Jones and Coker, you can win a title throwing to dudes like that.

preachBreh Auburn has the CEO of Apple and many others.
Nikkas think the schools down south don't have people in place?
No doubt y'all got people in place. The SEC wouldn't be where they're at today if they didn't have their sh*t together. It'll always be a top two conference no matter what, but that NIL came into play and threw a wrench in the South's football ecosystem. There's bigger pockets up North and out West in some places.Breh Auburn has the CEO of Apple and many others.

Others tried being holier than thou on the surface but paying under the table.Good question OP. If people's theory is true, why was Bama able to pay before NIL but other schools weren't able to do so?
Saban always hated respecting players. Which is why he was ran out of Miami.Others tried being holier than thou on the surface but paying under the table.
Bama was pretty well known to gift under the table. Combine that with elite winning under Saban and boom.
Like others said you don't have to do that no more and cats wanna play to get paid.
Saban said in an interview he was pisses that cats were asking for NIL increases just days after losing the Natty Game. He was done shortly afterwards
They aren't running but USC did have the #1 recruiting class for 2026....This is true but on the flip side of that, kids aren't exactly running to USC or UCLA in packs.
